about Shimmer and Shine

Twins Shimmer and Shine are genies-in-training who grant wishes for their best friend, Leah. The wishes don’t always go as smoothly as they plan, though — after all, they’re still in training — and the girls must clean up the magical mess that results from the issues. When Shimmer, Shine, and Leah work together they are able to solve the problems that arise and make things right. Trying to correct their mistakes helps to teach young viewers about learning from mistakes and doing better next time.

The activities I chose from the Nickelodeon website are all printables featuring Nick Jr’s Shimmer and Shine. The printables include

  • A Fortune teller – ask yes or no questions and see how it responds
  • Paper blocks – build and stack
  • Mazes – solve the path
  • Activity Pack – features Spot the difference, connect the dots, Draw, maze, and two coloring pages of Shimmer and Shine
  • Guess Who Game – put together and play guess who
  • Matching – match the shells
  • Paper Dolls
  • Photo Props
  • Place-mat coloring Page
  • Popcorn Holder

To get these printables, head over to nickelodeon parents and save the PDFs to your computer. Then print and create for tons of family fun. Or click the images below, save the PDFs and then print and create.
