Cubeecraft of Bolin From Avatar Legend of Korra

An Earth Bender and Mako’s younger brother, Bolin joins Korra and Mako as Cubeecrafts from the popular TV series Avatar The Legend of Korra, the next chapter following Avatar The Last Airbender.

Bolin lost his parents at the age of six, leaving him to look to Mako for the parental support. He helped create pro-bending team called the Fire Ferrets with his brother Mako. Korra eventual joins the team and they take second in the championships.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Bolin has a pet fire ferret named Pabu. It becomes the team mascot and preforms tricks when directed. It becomes Bolin’s best animal friend.

Team Avatar would not be complete without Bolin. Now with Mako and Korra you can for the Pro-bending Team called the Fire Ferrets.

Star Trek Celebrates 46 Years with the help of Google

On September 8, 1966, Science Fiction took the next big step with the debut of Star Trek. In honor of Star Trek’s 46 year anniversary, Google’s home page is displaying an interactive doodle which features several images that allude to specific characters in the TV series.

Can you name all the characters displayed?

This will be removed at the end of Day Sept 8, 2012, however, it will be a part of Google’s Doodles Gallery at www.google.com/doodles. Read More on StarTrek.com

Cubeecraft of Mako from Avatar The Legend of Korra

Mako was orphaned at the age of eight when his parents were killed by a fire bender. The scarf he wears was once his fathers. His only family he had left was his brother Bolin. Mako quickly took charge and did his best to care for Bolin and help them survive on the streets. Due to His bending abilities and those of Bolin, they were taken in to perform in the Pro-bending Tournaments. After a while Mako eventually formed and became captain of the Fire Ferrets.

Part 1
Part 2

When Mako first met Korra, they were not friends at first sight. In fact he thought Korra was one of Bolin’s fangirls. But when he needed her most Korra stepped up to the plate and entered the Pro-bending Tournament as a Water Bender. At first he was annoyed, but she eventually helped them get the win. From that point on Mako has had a little more respect for her and she became a part of the team.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Mako’s love life is a little more difficult. But I will save that story for the TV series (watch it and you will understand hahaha) Mako is surely a complicated character with a horrible past, but it looks to me that he will have a bright future.

Cubeecraft of Prince Zuko from Avatar The Last Airbender

A banished prince stuck in a teenage body gives you a very grumpy and determined character to get his honor back and reclaim his place as the next Fire Lord. Although to accomplish these tasks Zuko must first capture the avatar. For much of the series, his whole goal in life is just that.
Throughout his quest he shows just how skilled he is in fire bending; the main show of skill was when he took down admiral Zhao in an Agni Kai.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Eventually Zuko returns home and is accepted back into the royal family where he learns his true destiny. After redirecting the Fire Lords lightning attack, Zuko leaves his father hiding underground to seek out the Avatar and join his crew. He decides he will be the Avatar’s Fire Bending teacher.

As the grandson to Avatar Roku and Fire Lord Sozin, Zuko’s entire life has been the battle between good and evil. According to Zuko’s Uncle Iroh, this struggle will be a part of Zuko’s life, but Zuko needs to seek balance.

Having a set of Avatar the Last Airbender Paper Toys is not complete without Zuko. He was an enemy to become a friend. This figure below is based on the character of Zuko in book three.

Cubeecraft of Toph from Avatar The Last Airbender

“The Blind Bandit” is the biggest, strongest Earth bender of all time. Actually she is a little girl who is blind. She can see everything around her with her earth bending, better than those who see with their eyes. The show often gives the viewer a scene depicting what Toph sees. Her Earth bending is so great that she invents metal bending.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

She is a hard headed girl who usually wants her way. Stubborn to the core, she is unmovable like a rock. She becomes Avatar Aang’s Earth Bending Teacher, which he has trouble with at first. In fact, even Katara had trouble with Toph at first. But they all do figure out how to get along (mostly).

The Star Wars Cookbook Deluxe Set with Cookie Cutters Review

Have you cooked from “The Star Wars Cookbook: Wookiee Cookies and other Galactic Recipes”? Or have you cooked from “The Star Wars Cookbook II: Darth Malt and more Galactic Recipes”? These books have several fantastic recipes that are Star Wars related with creative names.

Such as:
Skywalker Smoothies,
Greedo’s Burritos,
Darth Maul Dip, or
Pit Droid Pizza

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

These books are full of fun that will entertain the children or the child within. These first two cookbooks were made to be durable with kids in mind. They have hard covers that are very heavy duty and can handle kids playing with them. The pages are easy to clean when things get messy. The spiral binding keeps the bind from creasing and cracking.

However, the New Star Wars Cookbook Deluxe Set with Cookie Cutters: Wookiee Pies, Clone Scones, and Other Galactic Goodies! is lacking in quality. The bind is cheap (see images below). To see a full page you will have to crease the bind that will form cracks as time goes on. The covers are paperback, which means the durability has decreased substantially. Also of the 30 recipes, 15 (that’s half) are from the previous volumes. With this book being more expensive than the other two, I think more time and quality could have been issued.

The Binding on “The Star Wars Cookbook: Wookiee Cookies and other Galactic Recipes”

VS

The Binding on “Star Wars Cookbook Deluxe Set with Cookie Cutters: Wookiee Pies, Clone Scones, and Other Galactic Goodies!”

While the cookie cutters are cute and the new recipes look yummy, I feel the 22-25 dollar price range is too much. This book screams lazy because of these 3 complications:
-it contains 15 recipes from the original cookbook,
-the binding is cheap and not the spiral binding that are exhibited in the other two cookbooks,
-and the cover is paperback and not a hard cover.

Perhaps the next cookbook will show greater care.

Cubeecraft of Sokka from Avatar the Last Airbender

The plucky comic relief is now a cubeecraft. Sokka may not be a bender but he does turn out to be a wonderful warrior. He becomes skilled in the art of the sword and is very skilled with the boomerang. His constant hunger and weird quotes make him the funny character in Team Avatar. Being the older brother he tries to direct where the team should go, but more times than not he is voted down or ignored.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Although he may be a very funny character and often clumsy, he does have his moments of serious communication with the other team members. He speaks comfort to Katara and Toph and shares his feelings with Zuko.

Here is Sokka as a cubeecraft with his boomerang.

Aang from Avatar The Last Airbender as a Cubeecraft

The series of Avatar the Last Airbender cubeecrafts introduces Avatar Aang the main member of the “BoomerAang Gang”, or better known as “Team Avatar”. A very spunky kid who enjoy laughing and messing around. He does grow and evolve as the story continues, but I am sure at the end of the three book series he would still love to Penguin Sled.

As the Avatar, Aang is in charge of bringing peace to the four nations, which proves to be no easy task.
With this Cubeecraft and that of Katara, you have a matched set. 😀 Especially since they love each other.

Cubeecraft of Katara from Avatar The Last Airbender

Before the Legend of Korra there was Avatar The Last Airbender, the beginning of the epic cartoon series. It is by far one of my favorite cartoon series out there. I like it because of the wonderful character development, art and story lines. They all have back stories that help you really feel for the characters and understand where they came from. Even the “bad guys” have enough development to make them feel as if they were something more than a cliché.

My favorite bending is Water bending. It is the element of change and can be used almost anywhere. For the exceptional benders it can be used to become an excellent healer or used to become a Blood Bender (Which Katara reluctantly learns how to use).

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Katara is my favorite character in Avatar the Last Airbender. So I figured I would start by making her a cubeecraft first :D. This cubeecraft is free to download, however, I will accept donations. These projects take a long time to create and any amount is much appreciated!

Cubeecraft of Belle from Disney’s Beauty and the Beast

Now that I have shared my love of the Disney Princesses I figured I should make another cubeecraft that reflects one of my favorite movies. I think Beauty and the Beast has some of the best characters one can find in Disney as well as some of the best music. I still find myself singing songs from this movie. I have to admit that I even bought this film in 3D just so I can feel like I am there in the movie (I love 3D movies 😀 ).

Part 1
Part 2

I believe I also relate to Belle, a strange girl in a town that just doesn’t understand her. I am not sure how many people thought I was strange or still do, but I am sure it adds up to a lot. Just read my blog and you know I have a very random mind and fall under the term “Super Nerd” or “Uber Geek”

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

With Belle we have a girl who wants adventure and finds one, her “Tale is as old as time” and here is a cubeecraft to capture one moment in her tale.
