Disney Channel Asia’s Free Printable 2015 Calendar

I found something totally awesome on the Disney Channel Asia website! Michael Chevas, the imaginative and acclaimed photographer from Thailand took famous celebrities from Asia and made them into iconic Disney Characters for this free printable 2015 Calendar.

I realize that it is already February but that still leaves 11 months on the calendar to enjoy this amazing work of art. I personally don’t know many of these actresses, but the photographs are Beautiful and they really highlight some of the greatest Disney films of all time!

Mickey’s Chocolate-Dipped Valentine Cookies Recipe

Get ready to make the CUTEST Micky Mouse cookies you will ever see! Instead of the standard Mickey Mouse ears that may be considered “Over done,” Disney Family has created an ingenious Valentine’s Day cookie in the shape of a heart but in complete Mickey Mouse attire! With 5 simple steps, these cookies are easy and fast to make!

What you will need to make this Disney Magic Happen:

    Batch of sugar cookie dough (homemade or store-bought) *
    Red food coloring
    Disposable food preparation gloves (for kneading food coloring into the dough)
    Plastic wrap
    Rolling pin
    Flour
    Wax paper
    Heart cookie cutter (about 2.5 inches wide)
    Baking sheets
    Cooling rack
    Dark cocoa candy melts
    Small microwavable mixing bowl
    White licorice candies – two for each cookie
    Toothpick

Instructions:

    First: Knead the red food coloring into the sugar cookie dough. Use the gloves so your hands don’t turn red as you Knead it in. Once it becomes the desired color of red, flatten the dough into a disk and wrap it tightly in plastic. Chill the dough until firm.

    Second: Heat the oven according to the instruction for cooking your sugar cookies. Working on a flour-dusted sheet of wax paper, roll out the chilled dough to 1/4-inch thickness. Using a heart shaped cookie cutter cut out as many cookies as you can. Bake the cookies according to the recipe directions. Once they are done let them cool completely.

    Third: Melt a cup of the candy melts according to the package directions.

    Fourth: Dip the completely cooled red heart sugar cookies into the melted chocolate. Be sure to only cover the top of the heart. Place the dipped cookies on a wax paper-lined tray.

    Fifth: For the finishing touch, use dabs of the leftover melted candy (applied with the tip of a toothpick) to attach a pair of white licorice candy “buttons” to the lower portion of each heart.

    It now looks like Mickey Mouse’s Attire! Basically a delirious pair of shorts! hahahaha

Free Slugterra Forgesmelter Printable Coloring Page and Wallpaper!

Forgesmelters are teal and burgundy with what looks like hot spots on their back. They are extremely rare to come by. If you want to find one you must enter the Magma Cavern. Pronto will tell you it is tough to navigate and your time is limited to 1 hour. But with Pronto’s help, you can find your way through anything.

Forgesmelters are also the only slugs to melt smolten as seen in the episode “Inheritance” where Eli needs one to melt the smolten off of Will Shane’s treasure chest.

Frozen Returns to Theaters in “Frozen Fever”

Disney announced that on March 13 Frozen will have an all new adventure with all our favorite characters called “Frozen Fever.” In this new seven-minute short, Elsa, the queen of ice and snow, catches a cold. While, for some, that might be just a days rest in bed and lots of fluids, for Elsa it is a whole different story.

This now less terrified side of Elsa is determined to celebrate Anna’s birthday party with a big birthday bash, enlisting Kristoff, Sven, and Olaf to help put everything together. “It’s another side of Elsa the audience hasn’t seen before and we hadn’t really played with in the original feature,” said director Chris Buck. The audience will find her much more approachable and less weighed down by fear and her Royal duties.

But while preparing for Anna’s awesome birthday party, Elsa catches a cold, which sends the birthday party into chaos. “Elsa doesn’t get a cold in the usual way,” says Jennifer Lee who directed Frozen along side of Chris Buck. “She’s special. Surprising things occur that wreak a little havoc.”

All the original cast members will be brought back in this special short about family, friends, and of course Sisterly Love.

    Fun Free Printable Football Activities!

    Football games bring out the kid in many of us. Tantrums, Screaming, hollering, boogie dances, throwing of food, and so much more make all us football watchers seem more like toddlers than adults. And do you know what? It is perfectly acceptable this one day a year. Who Knew right! Of course it gets even worse when your team plays in the big super bowl game! (Go Hawks!)

    While we are all clawing at the tv screen tomorrow, don’t forget the real kids in the house. If watching us watch football hasn’t deterred them from the game yet, they deserve their very own party! Disney has a few things that are sure to help them enjoy the game, and help us “adults” find a more constructive avenue for our excitement.

    The Tabletop Football game will be fun for the whole family. I plan on having our very own Super bowl (before the game starts). It should be an awesome game with the whole set up and it even includes instructions on how to create the pigskin! Getting the whole family involved is key to everyone having a great time!

    There is also A Field Goal Kick game, or better known as pin the football between the goal posts (Pin the tail on the donkey). The Person closest to the center between the goal posts wins. This is another great game for the whole family and another avenue to release some of the excitement or anxiety one may be feeling on this colossal day. Simply print the pieces of the goal posts and arrange them on large poster paper, hang it up on the wall and begin the fun.

    If a quieter activity is key, A football coloring page is also available. I plan to use this as a game as well. The person with the best coloring page will win a prize. This will force them to quietly and calmly color, focusing all the energy elsewhere.
