    Muppet Babies: Time To Play! Is a Little Geeky

    Tomorrow, August 14, the new cartoon Muppet Babies will make their Disney DVD debut called ‘Muppet Babies: Time To Play!‘ This DVD will feature four exciting episodes, two bonus episodes, 10 “Muppet Babies: Show & Tell” Shorts, and six music videos. The audience will get to join Kermit, Piggy, Animal, Gonzo, Fozzie Bear, and Summer in adventures that span across the globe. Like the song says, “When your world looks kind of weird and you wish you weren’t there. Close your eyes and make believe that you can be anywhere.”

    The all-new DVD ‘Muppet Babies: Time To Play!‘ features a selection of the most playful episodes from season 1 of the 2018 Muppet Babies. It allows the audience’s imaginations to take flight traveling around the world and even through time with the Muppet Babies. Thanks to Disney Junior, the adventures contain fun story lines and important life lessons.

    The story lines in the Muppet Babies are very cute featuring the imagination of children. They are the Muppet Babies after all. But even with children like stores, the writers have included cute Easter eggs for the adults watching the show as well. For example, in Sir Kermit the Brave, the Muppets go into a dark cave to find Miss Nanny. However, they come across some booby-traps. In an epic geeky move one of the booby-traps feature a large rolling boulder straight out of Indian Jones Raiders of the Lost Ark. Yup, The Muppet Babies DVD features an episode of Geeky proportions with a fun Easter egg.

    One thing I love about The Muppet Babies is how it encourages kids to use their imagination and see the world through wonderful adventures while learning important morals and life lessons. For example, in “Animal Flies Airplane”, the Muppet Babies wish to go to Paris. Using their imagination they take a flight across the Ocean.

    But when Kermit can no longer fly, each Muppet takes a turn at the wheel because they all think that Animal is to wild and is unable to fly. It isn’t until Animal sneaks to the cockpit and levels out the plane that the Muppet Babies realize how wrong it was to tell Animal he can’t do something simply by the way he acts. Lesson Learned.

    ‘Muppet Babies: Time To Play!’is a great collection of fun episodes featuring our favorite Muppet Babies with geeky Easter eggs for the adults and wonderful life lessons for the kids. It is truly a must have for fun loving families.

    Sharknado 6: It’s About Time Printable Party Kit

    How to Make Quirky Character Soaps For Your Kids

    Creating homemade soaps is a fun and easy activity you can involve your kids in that they’ll love being a part of. And the recipes for creating homemade soaps are simple and inexpensive, a great project for a quiet weekend.

    But the best part is this particular crafty project has the added benefit of reducing the chemicals you have in your house, keeping your kids safe and healthy.

    Did you know that many commercial soaps have ingredients that are classified as toxic or hazardous under U.S. federal laws? There is very little regulation around the production of commercial soaps, meaning we just don’t know what we’re exposing our kids to when using them.

    Many of these chemicals can cause skin sensitivity, rashes and even allergic reactions, which is the last thing we want to expose our kids to.

    What’s more, many soaps and gels come in plastic wraps and containers, adding to the plastic crisis we’re currently facing.

    Creating homemade soap is an easy, fun activity to do with your kids that will get them excited for bath time, while giving you the peace of mind that their sensitive skin is safe. Plus, making your own natural soap means you cut down on plastic consumption, which is an added bonus!

    Here’s a simple recipe to create hard bars of soap:

    Natural Body Soap

    Natural Body Soap Ingredients:

    • 1 pound Goats Milk Soap Base
    • 10-20 drops of Essential Oil of your choice to scent
    • soap molds
    Directions

    1. Melt the soap base over low-medium heat.
    2. Once liquid, add the essential oil of your choice and stir well.
    3. Pour into soap molds and allow to harden for at least one hour.
    4. Press mold to release soap.

    Get creative with the essential oils you add in to give the soaps wonderfully different scents. But make sure to check the oils are safe to use with kids. There are great sets of essential oils especially formulated for children which are a great place to start.

    Now comes the part your kids will really love. You can turn your soaps into mini characters by using soap molds you can easily find on Amazon. Whether they love Star Wars or Unicorns, simply pour the mixture into the molds and refrigerate until hard.

    Once they’re ready, your kids will have their favourite characters to take with them to bathtime. And they’ll go mad for their own little creations!

    Elena of Avalor: Realm of the Jacquins on DVD

    I received Elena of Avalor: Realm of the Jacquins on DVD from Disney to write a review. It is certainly full of learning and adventures. SPOILERS BELOW!

    Realm of the Jaquins starts with Elena boasting that she has learned everything she needs to know in order to run a kingdom. And like all episodes of Elena of Avalor, she breaks into a toe tapping song explaining everything she has learned. Of course, a boast like that can’t go unchallenged, and Elena is put through a few tests to see if what she has learned is enough, and if she is capable of learning more.

    The tests begin as soon as Elena enters the Realm of the Jacquins and meets King Verago. Though both are rulers, they are very different in the way they rule and what they believe. Elena believes in second chances while King Verago believes that rules are rules and need to be followed to prevent horrible things from happening. King Verago uses the example of Shuriki and the battle they had to fight to defend and save Avalor many years ago. This falls flat for Elena who is thinking onny of her friend.

    However, both rulers face a villain named Marimonda with magical powers to harness that of nature and destroy buildings, towers, and castles. To save Avalor Elena and King Verago fight her alone with their own plans, which fail miserably. Learning from their mistakes King Verago and Elena come together with a plan and execute it with perfect precision, saving Avalor and her people.

    It is awesome to see a show that lets children (and adults) know that there is always more to learn and always room to grow. Even a king of 50 years has things to learn. And a princess who has been ruling for only one year has much to learn from a seasoned king. We never know everything and we are sure to be tested every step of the way. But we can learn from those around us and from experiences as they come. I LOVE THIS MESSAGE! 5 STARS!

    Star Wars Rebels The Fourth Season

    The fourth season of “Star Wars Rebels” delivers all 15 action-packed episodes plus exclusive, never-before-seen bonus extras on the Blu-ray and episode recaps on the DVD. The series, which won last year’s Saturn Award for Best Animated TV Series, draws to an epic conclusion in a dramatic final conflict, drawing connections to the entire Star Wars saga. Star Wars Rebels: The Complete Fourth Season arrives on Blu-ray and DVD July 31st.

    Thanks to Disney, I got a chance to watch this Blu-Ray and I ended up binge watching the whole season over a weekend…plus all the amazing extras. For those wondering if they should buy the season 4, read on.

    In an amazing final season, Disney manages to tie up several lose strings that fans have been questioning as the series continued. Will Sabine change her colors again? Is Ahsoka still alive? What happens to Thrawn? Where does this faction lead in the rebellion? What happens to Arihnda Pryce? And what is so special about Ezra and Lothal? Don’t worry, I will not give any of these answers away, but I can excitedly say all questions are basically answered from certain points of view.

    I have to give Disney their props. Lately, the theme for a number of TV series is leaving everything on cliffhangers, answer no questions, and hope your show is renewed. Thankfully, Disney knew ahead of time that they would no longer be producing future seasons of Star Wars Rebels and gave fans a fitting end…for the most part. They do leave us with one final question: Where is Ezra? However, I am guessing it may be answered in other star wars shows. After all, nothing is gone forever, even Clone Wars is returning soon.

    The Blu-Ray features all 15 wonderful episodes that aired on Disney XD. So I got to enjoy the highs and the lows when it came to the Ghost team. Still crying over a few choices the writers made. I get Death is a common place for war, but after Kanan’s death, I hurt right along with Hera. I think that proves just how amazing the creators were with Rebels. The animated series can really connect with the audience leading down the path of their choices, their love, their fears, and their hurt. FYI: if you haven’t watched the series yet…It’s time to do so.
