Free Cubeecraft Paper Craft of Aelita from Code Lyoko

Aelita is a member of the Lyoko Warriors, a team bent on defeating an artificial intelligence known as X.A.N.A. Aelita and her friends, Ulrich, Odd, Yumi, and Jeremy fight X.A.N.A. by entering the world of Lyoko, a computer program with several zones and towers. These towers get activated by X.A.N.A. and must be turned off to save humanity in the ‘real’ world. The towers are sort of like hacking tools that can enter the systems, like those at Kadic Academy, and cause havoc. Aelita is the only one that can shut off the towers and her friends help her get safely to each one. Unlike the Ulrich, Odd, Yumi, and Jeremy, Aelita cannot die, if she does she will not regenerate.

This cubeecraft features Aeilta in the first part of the series where she wears all shades of pinkn. I am guessing it is her favorite color. The Aelita Cubeecraft is free, as always, but a donation would help. Cubeecrafts take a lot of time to make so any amount will help keep the hobby alive.

To Build the Cubeecraft:
Materials needed:
Printer
Card stock
scissors
x-acto knife

To make:

  1. Cut out each item along the outer black lines. Do not cut the long line in the hair. This is a folding line.
  2. Cut along the white on each tab using the x-acto knife
  3. Cut along each red line using the x-acto knife
  4. Fold along each inner solid black line and slide each tab into the slots created with an x-acto knife to form a cube of the head, body, arms, and feet
  5. Slide the arms through the red slots on either side of the body.
  6. Slide the feet through the red slots at the base of the body.
  7. Slide the now completed body through the red lots of the head.
  8. Slide the tabs on either side of the hair into the holes cut on either side of the face

Mickey Mouse: Merry & Scary On DVD

Mickey and Donald are bringing laughs and merriment to not one, but two holiday seasons! Mickey Mouse: Merry & Scary is on Disney DVD and you’ll want to catch their Halloween and Christmas hijinks!

When I watched these holiday episodes I couldn’t help but laugh. My favorite was Donald’s First Christmas. I had never thought of Donald as a duck that went south for the winter. After all, there are several Christmas episodes where Donald had to put up with his crazy nephews around the holidays. However, This was an interestingly new take on Donald’s first inevitable unfortunate events over the Christmas season.

This episode isn’t just about Donald’s first ever festivities, it is also about friends and family being together during the special time of year. Even Santa enters the picture to help our Disney friends learn what Christmas is about and where it can be celebrated.

Check out the clips below to get a sneak peek at the holiday episodes.

    Cinderella’s 5-Ingredient Pumpkin Pie Cookies

    Image from family.disney.com

    It’s Fall! You know what that means? It means golden trees, crisp winds, and fall foods…Especially pumpkins! I can now officially begin baking everything pumpkin: cookies, pies, cakes, breads and so much more. The pumpkin spice will be filling my home inviting the holidays.

    As I do around this time, I begin looking for new pumpkin recipes to try. I keep the old favorites passed down from my mom but I always want to add variety. This year, I was checking out what was new on the Disney Family website and I discovered these cute Cinderella Pumpkin Cookies, which if I think about it, it is kind of fitting. Cinderella did go to the ball in a pumpkin after all.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

    The recipe is pretty simple to make. It uses a pre-made pie crust and the rest of the ingredients are simply whisked together. Then it is baked and served. No fuss and very little mess…unless it is my kitchen. Somehow it always looks like a tornado twisted through my kitchen. However, it is totally worth it for the yummy pumpkin treats.

    Use the recipe below to make your own Cinderella Pumpkin Cookies or go to family.disney.com and check the recipe out there. They also have other fun crafts and activities the kids are sure to enjoy.

    Cinderella’s 5-Ingredient Pumpkin Pie Cookies

    • Servings: 6
    • Difficulty: Easy
    • Print

    Ingredients

    • Store-bought or premade pie crust
    • 16-ounce can pumpkin puree
    • 2 1/2 tablespoons 100% maple syrup
    • Cardstock
    • Scissors
    • Large, circular cookie cutter
    • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
    • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
    • Pencil
    • Toothpicks

    Photo and recipe from Disney Family
    Directions

    1. Preheat oven to 350°.
    2. Using the cookie cutter, cut out 6 circles and place them in a cupcake tin — pressing each down along the edges
    3. Whisk together the pumpkin puree, cinnamon, maple syrup, and vanilla extract in a bowl
    4. Fill the pumpkin mixture in each of your mini pie crusts.
    5. To create stencils, draw a shoe and pumpkin on the cardstock, then cut them out.
    6. Place the stencils on top of the remaining pie crust. Then using a toothpick, trace around the edges of the stencils to cut a total of 3 pumpkin shapes and 3 shoe shapes.
    7. Place your pumpkin and shoe pie crust cutouts on top of your mini pumpkin pies.
    8. Bake for 30 minutes. Serve and enjoy!

    Elena of Avalor: Celebrations to Remember on DVD

    Elena is back with all-new adventures now on DVD with the release of Elena of Avalor: Celebrations to Remember! In this all inclusive holiday DVD edition, we get to join Elena and her friends and family as they celebrate holidays that honor the past, cherish the present and look forward towards a magical future! Some of the holidays Elena and her family celebrate are Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead), Navidad (Christmas), and Carnival.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

    The Elena of Avalor: Celebrations to Remember DVD is packed with laughs, new characters to cherish, and heart with four celebration themed episodes:
    1) A Day To Remember
    2) Navidad
    3) King Of The Carnaval
    4) My Fair Naomi

    and two bonus episodes:
    1) Crystal In The Rough
    2) Captain Turner Returns

    The DVD also includes a FREE Exclusive Elena Locket with a picture of Elena!

    After watching the dvd, I found the different ways Elena’s culture celebrates the holidays interesting. For example, in “A Day to Remember,” Dia de los Muertos is celebrated in the cemetery where her family is buried. Everyone comes together to share food and remember the loved ones they have lost. In America, cemeteries are usually haunted scary places only the brave enter on Halloween. Often they have zombies, Ghosts and ghouls.

    Another example is the “Navidad” episode, which is all about different traditions and the characters coming together for one large celebration.

    Along woth the wonderful traditions for the kids to learn about and enjoy, there is also a song for each episode. The songs are toe-tappingly fun that, if heard enough, become sing-a-longs…and trust me they will be heard again and again hahaha. Check out one of the songs from “Navidad” below.

    Elena of Avalor: The Way We Do Navidad

    I am sure all Elena of Avalor fans are going to love Elena of Avalor: Celebrations to Remember. Those who are not fans, may just become one. I give this five stars!

    More about Elena of Avalor: Celebrations to Remember:
