Photo and recipe from family.disney.com
Directions

  1. Pre-heat your oven to 350°F. Line two muffin pans with paper liners; set aside.
  2. Cream the sugar and butter in an electric mixer bowl at medium-high speed for about 4 minutes.
  3. Meanwhile, sift together the flour, baking powder, cinnamon, baking soda, nutmeg, and salt. Set aside.
  4. Add the eggs one at time, allowing for each one to fully incorporate after each addition, scraping the sides of the bowl after each addition.
  5. Add the pumpkin puree and vanilla extract, mixing until combined (about 1 minute).
  6. Add flour mixture in two additions on low speed. Turn the mixer to medium speed; mix 2 minutes until completely combined.
  7. Pour batter into lined muffin pan, filling wells 3/4 full.
  8. Bake approximately for 20 minutes, or until cupcakes spring back when lightly pressed.
  9. Allow cupcakes to cool completely before frosting.

Cream Cheese Filling:

  1. Cream the butter, confectioner’s sugar, and cream cheese in the bowl of an electric mixer until smooth (about 4 minutes).
  2. Add sour cream, mixing to combine.
  3. Add vanilla extract, mixing until completely incorporated (about 2 minutes).
  4. Set aside for filling cupcakes.

Cinnamon Buttercream Icing:

  1. Cream the butter and cream cheese with an electric mixer until fluffy; add confectioners’ sugar in 4 additions. Beat on medium-high speed for about 4 minutes, scraping sides of the bowl as needed, until light and fluffy.
  2. Add vanilla extract and cinnamon, mixing to combine (about 1 minute).
  3. Put into a piping bag or a heavy-duty re-sealable plastic bag; cut off tip of bag and set aside.

Cupcake Assembly:

  1. Remove the center core of each cupcake by cutting into the center of the cupcake with a small serrated knife, 1/4 inch from the edge, at a 45-degree angle. Cut about 1/3 of the way through cupcake, being careful not to cut all the way to the bottom. Gently move the knife in a circle, creating a cone-shaped piece. Gently remove the center from cupcake and reserve. Repeat with remaining cupcakes.
  2. Put cream cheese filling into a piping bad, and cut a small hole in the corner. Squeeze filling into the hollow centers of cupcakes. Place centers on cupcakes, upside down, so the flat side is touching the filling.
  3. Pipe cinnamon buttercream icing onto cupcakes, fully covering cones.

Halloween is getting close! The excitement is literally building. I am already decorating, pumpkin carving and having a blast making DIY projects with the family. Halloween just isn’t Halloween without a few fun DIY projects. Whether it be a homemade Halloween Wreath or Ghostly decorations, we come together with glue guns in hand ready to take Halloween by storm.

This year, We made several paper lanterns and hung them in LED lights to shine up the house. They are perfect for our Halloween party and they are a spooky addition to the decor. Of course, if you don’t want to hang these little lanterns, you can always display them on tables, desks, or anywhere that needs a touch of Halloween. These lanterns come in 4 different colors: Red, green, purple, and orange. If you want a different color, I could probably make that for you and add it to the list. They feature a Black Cat, Jack-o-lantern, A spider in it’s web, and a Skull.

Printable Slugterra Halloween Pumpkin Templates

slugterra-pumpkins-by-skgaleana

This Halloween I wanted to make a very cute Slugterra Pumpkin of Burpy. However, to my surprise, I discovered that there are no Slugterra Pumpkin templates available…None…Nada…Zipola… Imagine my shock and horror. How could Slugterra be lacking in this department? These slugs are so cute that they should be displayed in a jack-o-lantern. With my search coming up empty, I realized that I would have to be the one to rectify this nonsense. I went to work straight away. I mean, Halloween is just around the corner and it is time to display our pumpkins.

First I made Burpy…of course. He is definitely my top favorite with his leadership skills, strength, and mischievous side. You can’t have anything Slugterra without this little fire slug. It is also perfect that he is a “fire” slug considering how one lights up a pumpkin. 😉

After Burpy I made Spooker the Frightgeist slug. With one hit, this little guy will make you afraid of everything, including your own shadow. I think he would be funny to have at an entrance to a haunted house. It sure would make everything a whole lot scarier.

The last pumpkin I made was Goon, the mortal enemy of Eli and Burpy. He is certainly one of the more scarier Ghoul slugs with his ability to take over a mind and bend it to his will. Goon’s evilness will go down in history for making Junji destroy his home and nearly duplicating his success with Eli.

These three Slugterra Pumpkin Templates are free to download, simly click the images below and save the PDFs to your computer. Then Print and Create to make that perfect Slugterra Pumpkin! You can choose Burpy, Spooker or Goon…or Get all three! Be sure to share your images using hashtag #SlugterraHalloween
