Star Wars Rebels Cubeecraft of Ezra Bridger

At a very young age, Ezra Bridger was forced to live on the streets after the Empire took his parents away. To survive, Ezra relied on his street smarts and his unknown ability to use the force. His time on the streets led him to become a thief and a con artist with little trust in anyone. Even when he met Kanan and the Ghost crew (Zeb, Hera, Sabine, and Chopper), Ezra was skeptical about who they were and what they wanted from him. Of course, as Ezra got to know the crew he learned their mission was far greater than simply stealing items to survive. They were Rebels fighting for a cause against the Empire to make the galaxy better place; and that was something Ezra wished to do.

With Ezra’s ability to use the force, Kanan took it upon himself to train Ezra in the ways of the Jedi. Ezra even created his own unique Lightsaber complete with built-in blaster and stun setting. But things are not what they seem. Ezra seems to have an affinity to the Dark Side, which makes Kanan nervous. In the Season 2 finale, we see a darker side to Ezra than we have seen in the past. What this means for the future, we can only speculate. However I can tell you this, It is going to be a log wait for Season 3.

With today being May 4th, I thought it would be fitting to create a Star Wars Cubeecraft featuring Ezra Bridger. It is after all “May the Fourth Be With You” Day, and this warrants a cool new Star Wars Paper craft. Ezra sports his orange suit, brown shoes, and tan jacket. He also comes with his unique lightsaber.

To Build the Cubeecraft:
Materials needed:
Printer
Card stock
scissors
x-acto knife

To make:

Cut out each item along the outer black lines.
Cut along the white on each tab using the x-acto knife
Cut along each red line using the x-acto knife
Fold along each inner solid black line and slide each tab into the slots you created with an x-acto knife to form a cube of the head, body, arms, and feet
Slide the arms through the red slots on either side of the body.
Slide the feet through the red slots at the base of the body.
Slide the now completed body through the red lots of the head.
Fold the gun in half and slid it under the fingers then refasten the tab

Ezra is now complete.

12 DIY Star Wars Lightsaber Crafts for Kids

Tomorrow is May 4th! Why is that important? Well it is an iconic day for many geeky Star Wars fans. It is the day that we get to go around and shout “May the fourth be with you!” carrying lightsabers and acting like Star Wars is the best thing since moving pictures (who am I kidding, it is the best thing). Of course I can often be found stating, “May the force be with you” in everyday conversation, however, May 4th just adds an extra touch of Star Wars happiness to all our lives.

Free Lego Cheshire Cat Printable Coloring Page

Alice in Wonderland – Cheshire Cat

The Cheshire cat is mad, but then again most everyone is mad in Wonderland. The Cheshire Cat is just very proud to admit it and uses it to his advantage. When Cheshire finds Alice in the woods, his unique personality helps her find a way to the Queen of Hearts and possibly a way home. During this encounter we learn that the Cheshire Cat can disappear at will, change shape, transport himself and perhaps even others to another location and almost seem omnipresent. If that wasn’t crazy enough, Cheshire has a constant smile on his face that is almost unsettling, then again he is mad, which in itself is unsettling.

Cheshire is one of the most sensible characters in Wonderland and seems to be the smartest. It is almost like he knows all and sees all. Unfortunately for Alice, Cheshire has a mad sense of humor and loves to cause chaos as seen with the Queen of Hearts. However, there are theories that his mad behavior towards the Queen of Hearts is what got Alice home, because in all of the chaos she woke up.

To commemorate the Cheshire Cat from Alice in Wonderland, LEGO has created an awesome minifigure depicting the Cheshire Cat with his rather large smile and striped fur.

The Jungle Book Educator’s Guide & Activity Pack

Inspired by Disney’s classic film, The Jungle Book, and based on Rudyard Kipling’s timeless stories, The Jungle Book comes to life on the big screen in an all new adaptation with live-action characters as well as photorealistic CGI animals and environments. This story along with the up-to-the-minute- technology will have the audience immersed in the story and the world around them. The Jungle Book is playing in theaters now in 3D.

For the record, I have not seen the live-action Jungle Book movie yet. But from the images displayed on the official site, I know it is at the top of my list to watch. I am a huge fan of the Disney classic and I hope that they did the story justice.

Speaking of their official website, I discovered something rather awesome. On The Jungle Book site, Disney has supplied all of us fans and parents with an Educator’s Guide to the Jungle book and an Activity pack for the kids. DisneyNature has also helped create a glossary of animals with specific traits and facts kids will love to learn.

With this information, we can turn this movie into an awesome learning experience about the animals that live in the jungle, The hardships of the jungle, and so much more. The Educator’s Guide is great for teachers who may want to do a lesson on the jungle to help their students explore the jungle world. It is also great for parents who want to help their kid learn abut the jungle as well.

Disney’s Jungle Book Honey Cupcakes Recipe

When you are looking for the simple bare necessities, I bet cupcakes don’t come to mind. I mean, the last thing I am thinking about when I am trying to relax is baking cupcakes. However, after I read the recipe and saw how easy it would be to make these yummy Honey Cupcakes, I had to think twice. Perhaps after I bake these easy cupcakes I can relax like a bear with the bare necessities. Yeah Man!

This recipe is full of simple ingredients that are easy to find if you don’t already have them in your house. Even the honey was simple for me to get since I keep a jar of real local honey on the pantry shelf. just think, Local Honey Cupcakes…NOM!

In The Jungle Book, Mowgli helps his best friend Baloo collect plenty of honey from beehives around the jungle. Once you finish your cupcakes and decorate them as desired, you can display your freshly made cupcakes on The Jungle Book Cupcake Stand to complete the jungle theme, if they make it that far. My family is usually like a pack of ravenous animals hunting for their next delicious treat. I have to fend them off just to be sure I get one myself.

Disney's Jungle Book Honey Cupcakes

Servings: 12
Time: 30 min
Difficulty: Easy
Print

Ingredients

1 stick of butter
2 eggs
3/4 cup of sugar
1 1/2 cups of flour
1 teaspoon of vanilla
1 teaspoon of baking powder
1/2 teaspoon of salt
1/2 cup of buttermilk
1/4 cup of honey

Directions

Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F and set aside a 12-cup muffin pan. Make sure to insert cupcake liners into the pan.
In a medium-size bowl mix dry ingredients including flour, baking powder, and salt.
In a smaller bowl mix wet ingredients including buttermilk, honey, and vanilla.
In a standard mixer bowl, add butter and sugar. Mix on medium speed until the ingredients are combined
Add eggs into the standard mixer bowl.
Evenly add the wet and dry ingredients into your standard mixer bowl. Mix until all ingredients are combined.
Fill the cupcake liners with the mix.
Bake for about 20 minutes.
Let the cupcakes cool for 5-10 minutes. Then add green food dye to your favorite frosting and ice cupcakes.

Disney Channel Movie Adventures in Babysitting
