Alice in Wonderland – Alice LEGO Minifigure

How do you get to Wonderland? Just ask Alice. This blonde little girl gets herself into all kinds of trouble because she is so curious. When she sees a white rabbit with a watch, she immediately follows the little guy into a rabbit hole and falls to Wonderland. Her adventure is full of all kinds of nonsense, including talking animals, Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum, a Mad Hatter Tea Party, and let’s not forget the Queen of Hearts. Hold onto your heads!

Perhaps, I will stay in the real world and not figure out how to get to wonderland. Honestly, I would like to keep my sanity and my head. When the most sense comes from a Cheshire Cat that can disappear when it wants, I’d say reality is my best friend.

To commemorate Alice from Alice in Wonderland, LEGO has created an awesome minifigure depicting Alice in her blue dress holding a bottle that says Drink Me and a small morsel of food. Do you remember which one makes her bigger and which one makes her smaller?

If the weather has not told you already, spring is here! It is time for playing outdoors in the warmth of the sun. It is also perfect weather to fly paper airplanes! I find it to be a great activity for the family to enjoy together and it only requires a few sheets of paper. On top of enjoying the outdoors and having fun together as a family, the crafting of paper airplanes is a great way to get the brains working as everyone tries to figure out how best to build and create their plane.

Once all airplane are completed, have each kid write their name on their plane. Then have the kids stand at one end of the yard and toss the plane. The person with the plane that flies the farthest wins. Of course you can add other ways to win, such as: who can get theirs to return to them, who can get theirs to loop-d-loop, and so-on.

To help the little kids in the group that may struggle a bit with the paper plane creation Disney Junior has put together a few Paper Airplane templates featuring some of their favorite characters. Rocket through space with Miles From Tomorrowland, soar through the Sky with Sofia the First, and Pirate the skies with Jake and the Neverland Pirates. Each paper airplane template comes with easy instructions and marks so you know where to fold.

Toy Story – Alien

From Toy Story and a restaurant known as Pizza Planet comes a cute little Alien that believes The Claw is it’s master. These little green Aliens often speak in unison with almost barbaric ideals. Of course if you lived in a machine with a claw and knew nothing else of the real world, you might be a little barbaric as well.

On a side note, if you rescue one of these guys it turns out they are with you for life, stating their little catch phrase, “You have saved our lives. We are eternally grateful.” Poor Mr. Potato Head is stuck with them forever.

To commemorate Toy Story’s Alien, LEGO has created an awesome minifigure of these little 3-eyed green aliens, complete with antennae and pizza planet logo.

Toy Story – Lego Buzz Lightyear

A member of the Intergalactic Alliance and stationed in the Gamma Quadrant of Sector 4, Buzz Lightyear’s main mission is to defend the galaxy by defeating the evil Emperor Zurg…Or at least that is what he used to think. After his encounter with Woody and his pals in Toy Story, Buzz now knows he is just a toy, and as such, he works hard to keep his family together and the Kids happy.

To commemorate Buzz Lightyear, LEGO has created an awesome minifigure depicting Buzz in his space suit, complete with wings and space helmet. The building fun of LEGO and the coolness of Disney/Pixar have been combined into one galactic miniature toy! He is so out of this world, you almost hear him saying, “To Infinity and Beyond!”
