Tomorrow is May 4th! Why is that important? Well it is an iconic day for many geeky Star Wars fans. It is the day that we get to go around and shout “May the fourth be with you!” carrying lightsabers and acting like Star Wars is the best thing since moving pictures (who am I kidding, it is the best thing). Of course I can often be found stating, “May the force be with you” in everyday conversation, however, May 4th just adds an extra touch of Star Wars happiness to all our lives.
In celebration of May the Fourth Be With You, I have searched the far reaches of space for information on building a lightsaber. I have found 12 fun DIY crafts that are both easy to create and fun to play with. Some actually light up, others are crocheted, while others are as simple as print and create. Simply click the images below to hyperspace over to the instructions and pictures.
Once you and your family have created their lighsabers, please remember that we are Jedi and we use our abilities for knowledge and defense, never for attack. The ways of the sith have no power on May 4th.
