Most of my readers know that I am a fan of Paper Dolls by Cory. His work is beautiful. The best part is they are fun, they are free, and they are printable. Normally when I start talking about his work I start rambling and geeking out about the details he includes in his paper dolls. He really understands the characters and their costumes.
Several years ago, Paper dolls by Cory released an awesome set of Frozen paper dolls featuring Elsa, Anna, Kristoff, Olaf, and Hans. They came with several different costumes and the classic closed eyes. I shared them on my blog here.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
With Frozen being such an awesome movie, loved not only by Cory and myself, but millions of other fans around the world, Paper Dolls by Cory continues to update the costumes Anna and Elsa wear. Some are from the films and others are his own design, such as the Pumpkin Spice Dresses…I so wish they were canon/
With Frozen 2 being released Nov. 22, Paper Dolls by Cory has released a brand new set of dresses for Anna and Elsa. Elsa’s purple dress is beautiful! To download click the image below and save it to your computer. Then print and create to place on the Elsa and Anna dolls.
I will be keeping an eye out for more designs and post them as I see them. You can also follow Paper dolls by Cory on his Facebook page to get the latest designs.
Getting ready for the holidays is always fun when Disney is involved. I always go out of my way to find fun DIY Disney decorations that will deck my halls with a little magic. Sometimes the decorations are simply a piece of paper with well place holes to make snowflakes. Thanks to Family Disney, we have several templates of some of our favorite Disney characters.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
FYI: all these snowflakes will require a craft knife. All cutting should be done by an adult.
First on the list of awesome snowflakes are the small little Snowman boogers from Frozen Fever called Snowgies. These snowflakes are fun and easy to make. Simply print out the template, fold along the lines, and cut the pattern out. Then hang them all over the house for the holiday!
Second on the list of snowflakes is the classic Mickey Mouse Silhouette beautifully cut into a sheet of paper/ To make, print out the template, paste to the folded paper, and cut it out. Then make small cuts to make the perfect unique snowflakes.
Fourth in the list is so much easier;there is no folding required. Simply print the pages, cut out the Mickey snowflake shapes, and display. Mickey Mouse and his friends will then be decorating your house in holiday cheer!
Fifth and last on the list of these fun Disney Snowflakes are the Princess Snowflakes. Like the Mickey and friends snowflakes, the princess snowflakes are a simple cut, fold in half and display. Turn them into a mobile or hang them around the house for all the princess fun.
There are so many more snowflake templates out there. Simply do a google search and the flood of designs will fall across your screen. Even I have shared other snowflakes on my blog…like the Star Wars snowflakes or the Frozen snowflakes.
I absolutely love it when I find fun recipes online, especially when they are Halloween theme. I have shared a few on my blog, and this season is no different. Thanks to the Fred Meyer’s website, I have found several new recipes that have been added to my Halloween Recipe collection. One of my favorites I want to share are these wonderfully green Frankenstein’s Monster Rice Crispy Treats.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Ok..I should state that I have changed the title of these crispy rice treats from “Gooey Frankenstein Crispy Rice Treats” to “Gooey Frankenstein’s Monster Rice Crispy Treats.” I did this for two reasons: 1. Frankenstein was the doctor not the monster, so it is Frankenstein’s Monster that these treat emulate. 2. I have always known these types of crispy treats as “Rice Crispy Treats.” Calling them “Crispy Rice Treats” felt weird.
On the plus side, this title change means nothing because the recipe has remained the same in it’s classic gooey green fashion. So whether it is a Frankenstein treat or a Frankenstein’s Monster treat, it will all taste delirious!
To make the Gooey Frankenstein’s Monster Rice Crispy Treats simply follow the instructions below. Be sure to visit Fred Meyer’s website for more fun recipes. Who knows, I may even share another here.
These perfectly gooey, crispy treats are spookily fun to serve at a Halloween party. Get your kids involved by having them draw their own Frankenstein face.
In a large pot over medium heat, melt the butter. Add the marshmallows and cook until completely melted. Remove from heat and stir in green food coloring.
Add the cereal and stir until combined. Pour into the prepared pan and gently press the treats flat.
Allow to cool fully, then cut into 8 rectangles. Use the black icing to make Frankenstein hair and mouths on each rectangle, then top with candy eyeballs. Serve and store leftovers in an airtight container.
Not all monsters from Wetmore Forest run around and have fun in sporadic bursts of amusement. There are some that take life very seriously and seek the comforts of silence and solitude. That is what makes Wetmore Monsters amazing; there are so many different kinds. One such monster is Chester McFreckle.
Our next Wetmore Forest resident is Chester McFreckle! If there were such a thing as a serious Pop! Monster, Chester would be it. By nature Pop! Monsters are playful and rambunctious but Chester likes to stand out buy chilling out. Smart and stoic, this little antlered fella is more likely exploring alone or wandering a hidden trail, then to be frolicking with is furry friends. His natural curiosity often leads him into sticky situations but his intuition and smarts usually save his tail in the end.
Chester McFreckle is the next monster I have made as a coloring page. With antlers like a deer and freckles on his nose, Chester is an adorable monster ready for coloring.

I received a kit full of awesome Spider-Man Far From Home goodies and activities the whole family can do…well most families can do. I learned something about my family with this Spider-Man kit…we are unable to levitate tinsel or make square bubbles. These are talents beyond our capabilities. I believe they require a Wingardium Leviosa moment…anyone have a magical wand? If you wish to try these activities with your family, I am including the instructions at the bottom of this post. Simply download and create.
Spider-Man Far From Home Activities
This Spider man kit came with everything we needed to make and complete the crafts. So we decided to try the Levitation craft first. As instructed we tied all of the tinsel together with two knots 5 inches apart. Yes, we measured it for accuracy. I then took the large PVC pipe and started rubbing it on the back of my head. I figured since I have rather thick, curly, and long hair, I would be the best to form a static charge.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
So there I am rubbing this tube on my hair back and forth charging the electrons and slowly my hair begins to send out small shocks with each touch. That has to mean the tube is charged. I pull the tube away only to find that my hair is now standing on end as if I had my hand was on one of those weird plasma balls.
However, this static hair was gonna be worth it if we could get this tinsel to float. With my crazy hair, we hold the tub and drop the tinsel into the PVC pipe. Aaaaand, *plop* it falls to the bottom. Once again I try rubbing this tube back and forth and dropping the tinsel. Again nothing. After several tries, we had to walk away, my hair just could not handle another rubbing hahahaha. If you try and succeed, lets see the pictures! I have to see this in action. If only for the sake of my hair.
Levitation Failure
Our next failure was the square bubble. We tried to create this amazing unnatural feat but each time the bubble popped, fell through the cube, or just would not sit. The Unnatural was unable to be natural in my home. We had fun trying and ended up just blowing a whole bunch of bubbles everywhere. I would post a pic, but it was a mess…so on to the next, which happens to be a success!
My family can bend light! Oh yes, we are experts at this. Well, sort of. It took putting a few holes in a bottle to get it right. First the hole was too high, then it was to big. We had one hole that was not round enough and just sprayed water everywhere. Glad the kit included so much tape, because otherwise this would have been a failure as well. However, after a puddle in the kitchen and several needless holes we finally figured out the craft! Check out the 10 seconds of success below.
To get the instructions to these crafts and try your hand at making that tinsel levitate, click the image below and save the PDF to your computer. Then create, craft, and have fun as a family!

Let me tell you a story; a story about the amazing Wetmore Forest by Funko. This forest features monsters of all shapes and sizes and their skills are as diverse as their looks. With Snuggle-Tooth as their leader, these monsters have been able to live in peace and safety…with the occasional adventure and fun.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I have been making coloring pages of these adorable Funko Monsters and my next featured monster is Butterhorn. Check out her story below:
Butterhorn’s many wonderful tales are told to the monsters of Wetmore forest as the light fades among the Pines and fauna, and the littlest ones start to yawn. She is the storyteller of the group, charged with sharing the legends and stories of past and present. She is wise and gifted in the ways of nature. She speaks the ancient language of the fir trees and knows each and every creature roaming the vast rainforest by name.
Bitterhorn’s most difficult feature to make had to be the horns. I wanted to make sure that those horns had the right curve and details. After a few tears, several walk aways, and a couple of desires to toss the computer across the room, I finally succeeded. I am very happy with how the adorable little Butterhorn turned out.
I colored Vutterhornr a teal-ish color, but there are several color palette that Butterhorn has been seen in. However, I am sure even a rainbow wouldn’t be out of the ordinary in the Wetmore Forest so go crazy and color her how ever you would like.
