Tomorrow, on May 15, 2018, Marvel’s newest movie “Black Panther” will be arriving on DVD, Blu-Ray and 4K! Along with it’s release comes several bonus features that fans did not get to see in theaters including but not limited to the Gag Reel, Deleted Scenes, Director’s intro and more (for more details about the release, see “Marvel Studios’ Black Panther“).

I received the chance to review Black Panther, the moviecame with a fun party kit to throw a wonderful themed party for my family. We played a game of Movie Bingo, had yummy popcorn and snacks, and snuggled under a warm blanket while we watched the movie unfold. Well, actually, my sister Frances snuggled under the blanket while we waited for “our turn”.

While Frances enjoyed the comforts of the blanket, we all watched the film for the chance to shout Bingo. The search for caves, spies, hoverbikes, lip plates, beads and mores made each of us watch Black Panther closly because the winner of Bingo didn’t have to clean up after the party. The party was fun to throw, but it would not have been a success without a good movie to watch. Marvel provided that good movie with Black Panther. The graphics are beautifully created and the women characters are astounding.

The graphics are noticeable as soon as Wakanda appears on screen. The amazing tech is sure to capture the imagination and awe of all those who watch. For me, it was like the future had finally received the description, excitement, and honor that it deserves. We all hope for flying cars, hover-boards, and high tech gadgets that produce usable holograms. I mean, the ability to drive a car remotely is EPIC. Black Panther brings hope for the future and not an apocalyptic tragedy. I love that!

Dancing around in the graphics is a huge cast of women who represent the strength and honor of Wakanda. There are so many powerful women within the movie that Black Panther is one of the first superhero movies that both boys and girls can have amazing roll models. What I like most about Black Panther is the fact that the women are not pitted against each other to fight for money or other needless objects. Instead, the women have a presence of power on screen and work together to achieve their goals, whether it be as a warrior or as a scientist. Check out the concept are for the Dora Milaje, the body guards/warriors in Wakanda. It is beautiful.

I truly enjoyed Black Panther with all it’s graphics, story line and character development…even if I did lose at Bingo. I simply blame the loss on the fact that the movie was so good I forgot that we were playing a game. I couldn’t peel my eyes away from the screen long enough to find a place to put a token. My love for future tech and the color purple was the start of my loss. Add epic fight scenes and the occasional “Geek Speak” and my loss was guaranteed. It just goes to show that a story about a Prince learning that for the future to have hope, he must help those in need is a winning movie. I Love It.

In the brand new Disney Channel movie ZOMBIES coming to DVD April 24th, there is nothing more difficult in high school than being a Zombie in the normal human world…except for maybe being a Cheerleader with secret white hair. In this music and danced filled movie Zed the Zombie and Addison a cheerleader find that they are not so different and look for a way to break down the walls of hate and fear so that everyone’s differences can be accepted and celebrated.

From the title, I expected ZOMBIES to be about..well…zombies. The flesh-eating undead that ravage the world into an apocalyptic event possibly taking over an unsuspecting high school. I was wrong. While ZOMBIES features a post-apocalyptic world with zombies, it takes place 50 years after the Zombie infection. Now, technology has found a way to make the zombies almost human using what they call a Z-band The bracelet emits special electromagnetic pulses that keep the Zombie genes in check allowing the Zombies to grow beyond the need for brains and flesh. In a way, making them more human.

Of course, when the Z-bands get corrupted, the human like zombies turn back into their nasty zombie selves seeking brains. This happens only a couple of times in the film. As a fan of many Zombie films, I do wish there were more “zombie” moments within in the film. I realize that this is a Disney movie, but having ZOMBIES as the only word in the title, I think it needed more of an “AHHH!” moment.

To tell the difference between a Zombie and a normal human isn’t too difficult. Zombies have green hair and pale skin. They are also not allowed to leave Zombieland except when attending school. However, just like normal kids, zombies also have problems in high school. When a Zombie named Zed wants to be on the football team and falls in love with a cheerleader, it sends this perfect school into chaos. Hate for zombie kind attacks every student at Seabrook. It is up to the two teens to change everyone’s perception on Zombies and bring everyone closer together by teaching acceptance and celebrating each others differences.

The Musical numbers in ZOMBIES are worth a watch. With such a crazy theme of zombies going to high school, the creators could go crazy with all kinds of scenes and setups. I like the light shows, dance numbers, and even their official videos. The songs get the feet tapping, kids dancing, and everyone singing. Check out the official video for BAM! and see for yourself.

The ZOMBIES DVD comes with the feature presentation, several bonus materials and a fun set of temporary tattoos featuring Seabrook and Zombie logos that are very pink and green. Check out the image below to see what they look out. These tattoons make it very easy to show your spirit for the both Human and Zombie.

ZOMBIES is the perfect movie for pre-teens to adults young at heart. The Zombie theme is light enough that a younger audience can enjoy the movie without freaking out over the gore many zombie movies feature, the music and dance numbers are energetic and fun, and the moral of story (accepting those no matter how different they are) is a great lesson for everyone to learn. Disney has produced a fun lighthearted high school love story featuring a zombie apocalyptic world that has already found the Zombie cure. Get a copy of the DVD April 24th from Amazon.com

After a weird cellphone accident, we quickly learn he still has feelings for his one true love.

After Liam arrives back in his home town, he discovers that his “true love” still has feelings for him as well. Only this time, Liam finds an unexpected treasure…he has a 7 year old daughter. The title, Forever My Girl, never really tells the audience which person Liam is calling his forever girl, but after watching the movie, I can say I think it is both.

Forever My Girl is labeled as Romance but I think it is more about the relationship between a father and a daughter. The amount of romance is light and subtle. It is cute and I found myself rooting for the time that they could be together forever. However, there is an even greater story as Liam attempts to connect with his daughter. It is adorable to watch as Liam and Billy learn each others quirks, come out of their shells, and discover the love between a father and a daughter. Even the ending focuses more on the father/daughter duo than the romance between the father and mother. I won’t spoil anything but make sure to watch to the end because this movie has a WIN ending.
