This Christmas, McDonalds is getting creative with their Happy Meal toys. Instead of just one happy kid, McDonalds is using the spirit of the season and encouraging kids to share their happiness. Inside each Happy Meal, there will be two toys featuring a keychain inspired by Pet Simulator. However, one of the toys is for the child to keep, while the other toy is for the child to give to some one else.
This “share the happiness” theme is almost identical to the idea featured in the 2021 Great American Family movie, “Royally Wrapped for Christmas”. Lindsay travels to the Kingdom of Veronia to help with holiday preparations. This is where she shares her idea of giving everyone at the royal party two gifts, one gift is for the members to keep and enjoy, the other gift is for them to give to someone special.
When I saw “Royally Wrapped for Christmas”, I thought ‘one to keep, one to give’ was a brilliant idea. I even thought about implementing the gift giving idea at my next holiday party. McDonalds must have thought the same thing, because here we are, three years later, and they are hosting this idea in their happy Meals. Their motto is ‘Gift One! Keep One!’ and I am loving it!
As always, the Happy Meal site provides a little bit more fun with their cute printable activities. This time, parents can find an adorable Pet Simulator coloring page and a search and find puzzle. Print two copies, and the keep one, give one can keep going!

The days are shorter, the air is colder, and many areas are already facing crazy weather with excessive amounts of snow! What does that mean for us fans of winter? That means warm cloths and hoodies, hot chocolate, and a wonderful warm fireplace. For other fans, it is a great time for fun and adventures. It is such a wonderful time of year!
Mickey Mouse and friends obviously fall into the second category of fun and adventures when it comes to the winter weather. In Mickey Mouse’ Once Upon a a Christmas and Twice Upon a Christmas we see them running through the snow, having snowball fights, dancing, and, of course, ice-skating, which brings us to a wonderful Disney Printable Papercraft. Fans of winter can build their own scene with the help of Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Pluto, and Goofy.
The papercraft features 8 pages of fun with a frozen pond, a cute little ice skate shopping area, trees, and characters. Simply cutout the shapes, glue the tabs together, and build! Here is where the fun never ends. While the scene can be used as a cute display, showcasing all that we love about winter and the holidays, it can also become a puppet show or little paper toys. Create stories, replay epic scenes from the movies, or make up your own stories. It is great when Expanding Imaginations Removes Limitations!

Nickelodeon is giving a nod to the oldie but goodie shows of yesteryear, in their printable activity pack featuring five printable coloring pages! Each page is themed for Halloween, providing a nostalgic moment to a time when we adults were kids, watching our shows, and eating the candy we worked hard to earn by Trick-or-Treating. Their nod worked, and I find myself smiling at each page and the memories of such a fantastic Nickelodeon era.
Nickelodeon parents state, ‘Celebrate this scare-tactular season with some familiar faces.” (Nick Parents). While these faces are very familiar to the adults in the room, the kids may or may not know who each of the characters are. However, I think Nickelodeon’s goal is to give the parents a Halloween hug.
The first page is a coloring page of SpongeBob Squarepants as a ghost. Because SpongeBob has remained in popularity since its inception 25 years ago, I am sure most kids will recognize this crazy square character that lives in a pineapple under the sea. Of course, those who remember the first episode will have a ping of happiness this Halloween. Although, there isn’t much to color on this page unless we make his ghost costume colorful.
The second page features Timmy, Cosmo, and Wanda! I have been a fan of the Fairly OddParents since I was a kid. I can sing the title song word for word. Probably not a talent I should flex, but there it is. I have noticed that this cartoon has regained popularity and kids have been able to call out the Fairy characters, so this page, while nostalgic, is also one that the family can enjoy.
The third page is classic Tommy in a Reptar costume from the TV series, Rugrats. With the creators being Doctor Who nerds, we get a character that uses a screwdriver to escape confinement and go on crazy adventures. His companions, Phil Lil, and Chucky, join him , sometimes reluctantly, in order to explore the world. Nickelodeon did release a remake of the series, so kids should know who Tommy is.
The fourth page is my favorite page of the set! It’s one that I find the most nostalgic. Holding a pumpkin and flying through the air, we have Danny Phantom. <3 After an accident, Danny gains powers and can become a ghost-human hybrid. With his powers, he can turn invisible, travel through walls, fly, and much more, Danny uses his superpowers to save his family, friends, and the town. This cartoon never gets the love is deserves and I really wish it had way more than three seasons. Great job Nickelodeon, nostalgic moment achieved.
However, when it comes to recognition by the kids in the family, Danny Phantom may be one that they don’t know. I have not seen a reboot or an increase in popularity. So this coloring page is meant for us adults while the kids color the others.
The fifth page is probably the most iconic of the bunch. This series is what I attribute to the classic Nickelodeon feel, Say hello to Doug. A series that features a kid making his way through school, crushes, and life using his imagination with the help of his dog, Doug was a wonderful cartoon. I know I still sing the theme song, “do do do do do do do do do do do”. And if you sang that, you know you were/are a fan.
Kids may bot even have an idea of who this is, so parents can take the opportunity to share their love of early cartoons and watch a few episodes on YouTube or other streaming apps.
To get the Halloween Throwback Printable Coloring Pages, fly over to Nick Parents and download the PDF. Or click the image below and save the PDF to your computer. Then print and create for a spooky good time. This pack is a great opportunity to talk about cartoons with the family , reminisce, and make new memories. HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

Available on Digital Now for the suggested retail price of $19.99 (HD) and $14.99 (SD). What is really exciting is that we get to dive deeper into this season with two all-new featurettes including exclusive cast & crew interviews that are only available on DVD & Blu-ray!
I received a copy of Star Trek Prodigy Season 2 on Blu-Ray and here is what I thought. WARNING: Spoilers Below.
Star Trek Prodigy Season 2 follows our six crazy crewmembers as they separate into their own tasks and attempt to adapt to the craziness that is the Starfleet Academy. Gwyn goes off to help her people and her planet. Dal, Jankom Pogm, Zero, Rok-Tahk, and Murf attempt to fit into their new roles. But when Janeway looks to rescue Captain Chakotay, Dal gets the band back together.
Rescuing Captain Chakotay would be a good thing if Janeway wasn’t involved. We all know when it comes to her and temporal forces, time paradoxes will show their teeth. While Janeway is not on the Protostar that travels back in time, I can safely say, it is all her fault. I believe the Q will believe so as well at some point…if they ever get involved. In the mean time, thanks to Janeway, Dal and his friends get sucked into a time traveling wormhole and start their next adventure to rescue Chakotay…or destroy the very fabric of time and space. Honestly, both scenarios could happen at the same time. This is Star Trek aftercall.
The short version of Star Trek Prodigy Season 2 is as follows: Dal, bored with the Starfleet Academy and missing the stars, decides to get the team back together to follow Janeway. But when things don’t go as planned (shocker), Dal and his friends find themselves in the future on Gwyn’s planet. Thankfully, Captain Chakotay is also there in this future time. But when a rescue fails, time begins to change and Geyn’s existence becomes questionable. Nothing is ever easy for the Protostar crew.
With the help of some crazy allies, including Wesley Crusher (yay!), The crew seeks to fix what they broke, save Gwyn, save her planet, save Captain Chakotay, and save time. It’s a lot to ask of such an outcast crew of Starfleet cadets, but they kind of put themselves into their daunting predicament.
Like Season 1, Star Trek Prodigy Season 2 has it’s moments of darkness. Death is not uncommon. Several scenes will tear at your heart-strings. The director does a great job at keeping the rating of the show low for a younger audience, but it doesn’t take away from the suspense, the action, and the unnerving fact that some will not make it back alive. To keep these scenes from being overwhelming, the show does provide some plucky-comic-relief. Dal is often found to be spouting jokes, Wesley is crazy and a hoot to watch, and even Captain Chakotay has his moments of fun.
With the expected time paradox, the suspense and action, the fun, and two all-new featurettes including exclusive cast & crew interviews , I found the series well worth a watch. In fact, I binged watched it in a weekend. That tells me I enjoyed the series! Also, the series features my favorite Star Trek captain, Janeway, and I love the new characters added to the Star Trek Canon. It’s too bad we won’t see a season 3. 🙁

Paramount Home Entertainment and Nickelodeon Home Entertainment have released a colossal collection of PAW Patrol movies and TV shows called the PAW Patrol: Ultimate Film & TV Collection! Each movie and TV show follows a boy named Ryder and his team of exceptional pups as they work together to save their town, Adventure Bay. This ultimate collection is available on Amazon.com (affiliate link) for the suggested retail price of $44.99.
I received the chance to review the collection and here is what I thought!
PAW Patrol is back with another huge collection of shows featuring over 800 minutes of adventures and teamwork. Everything we have come to love about the PAW Patrol can be found in this ultimate collection, from learning to work together to problem solving. There is no job too big and no pup too small!
PAW Patrol: Ultimate Film & TV Collection contains two theatrical movies, three original TV movies and more than 40 episodes in a beautiful slip case that will look fantastic on any shelf. However, I will say this; the packaging for the Ultimate Collection isn’t as cool as the Marshal Firetruck collection released in 2020. Now that was an epic case for PAW Patrol fans because the case doubled as a toy for the kids!
While the case isn’t as epic as previous collections, what is included in the PAW Patrol: Ultimate Film & TV Collection is exciting! So much PAW Patrol with hours of adventures. The collection comes with 10 discs that feature some of my family’s all time favorites.
Disc One Includes:
PAW Patrol: The Movie (Theatrical)
Disc Two Includes:
PAW Patrol: The Mighty Movie (Theatrical)
Disc Three Includes:
PAW Patrol: Jet to the Rescue (TV)
Disc Four Includes:
PAW Patrol: Ready, Race Rescue (TV)
Disc Five Includes:
PAW Patrol: Mighty Pups (TV)
Disc Six Includes:
PAW Patrol Mighty Pups: Super Paws (TV)
Disc Seven Includes:
PAW Patrol: Mighty Pups: Charged Up (TV)
Disc Eight Includes:
PAW Patrol: Pups Save the Kitten Catastrophe Crew (TV)
Disc Nine Includes:
PAW Patrol: Pups Save Rocket Ryder (TV)
Disc Ten Includes:
PAW Patrol: Pups Save the Alien (TV)
So happy to see Pups Save the Alien! Certainly one of my favs.
With so many episodes and movies in this collection, I give PAW Patrol: Ultimate Film & TV Collection five stars and the SKGaleana seal of approval! I only wish that the case was far more creative like releases in the past. 😉
