Free Star Wars The Force Awakens Recipe & Crafts

Today marks the most epic of epic days for geeks everywhere. Star Wars The Force Awakens has arrived on Digital HD for the world to see. It’s iconic story of good vs evil nabs a whole new generation of Star Wars fans while still reigning true to the classics.

Thirty years after the defeat of the Galactic Empire, the galaxy faces a new threat from the evil Kylo Ren (Adam Driver) and the First Order. When a defector named Finn crash-lands on a desert planet, he meets Rey (Daisy Ridley), a tough scavenger whose droid contains a top-secret map. Together, the young duo joins forces with Han Solo (Harrison Ford) to make sure the Resistance receives the intelligence concerning the whereabouts of Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill), the last of the Jedi Knights.

Free Lariat Coloring Page from Slugterra

Let’s start April Showers and April Fools day with a gooey, loogi, rope spewing slug. Lariats are Lime Green Slugs with aqua bellies and dark green faces. Their main attacks deal with long gooey ropes and loogis. Even Eli finds it sort of disgusting when he uses the rope to climb up an ice wall.

Lariats are a common slug but don’t let that discourage you from collecting one. While they are common, they can be very useful. Not only are they great for getting out of sticky situations, they work wonderful for tying enemies up or even attacking with their disgusting goo. They are also one of the few slugs that can be fired underwater without a slugshell. At the moment. only two other slugs can claim that talent: Jellyish and AquaBeek.

NEW LEGO Minifigures Collection Featuring Disney Characters

Lego announced a new line of LEGO Minifigures yesterday inspired by some of our favorite characters from © Disney & © Disney/Pixar! There will be 18 new minifigures featuring Disney classics such as Peter Pan and Alice in Wonderland and Disney•Pixar favorites like The Incredibles and Toy Story.

Jill Wilfert, vice president of licensing and entertainment for The LEGO Group commented,

“For more than 16 years, fans have been recreating their most beloved Disney stories through LEGO play. Kitty Litter Cake Recipe for April Fools Day

It’s that time of year again. The day where all of us pranksters come out and really make a day worth remembering! After all, April First is the day of pranks and laughs. I know in my house we have to watch for plastic wrap over the toilet seat, crazy sounds, and random doors exploding as they open. Be on guard if you ever visit my house on April Fools Day.

This year I am going food crazy with snacks and treats that look delicious but are disgusting or look disgusting but taste delicious. For example, I am making a Kitty Litter Cake, which will be displayed on the table for an April Fools family and friends celebration. It looks real and disgusting, but the cake is moist and yummy. I wonder who will be the first to have a piece of cake. It is harder than it sounds when the cake is served from a pooper scooper. Even I have struggled with it in the past. However, once you get past the initial disgust the cake is a delicious treat.

The Kitty Litter Cake is fairly easy to make. Simply make two cakes and some pudding, crumble and mix together, sprinkle cookie crumbs, shape tootsie rolls and you are done. I have included the recipe below so that you can make it for your family this year. See who will be the bravest to take a bite.

Kitty Litter Cake

Ingredients

  • 1 (18.25 ounce) package German chocolate cake mix
  • 1 (18.25 ounce) package white cake mix
  • 2 (3.5 ounce) packages instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 1 (12 ounce) package vanilla sandwich cookies
  • 4 drops green food coloring
  • 5-6 Tootsie rolls
Directions

  1. Make cakes according to package directions
  2. Make pudding according to package directions and chill.
  3. Crumble sandwich cookies in a food processor, scraping often. Set aside all but 1/4 cup.
  4. To the 1/4 cup add a few drops of green food coloring and mix.
  5. When cakes are cooled to room temperature, crumble them into a large bowl. Add 1/2 of the remaining cookie crumbs, and the chilled pudding. Mix together. Use only enough pudding to make the cake moist not soggy.
  6. Sanitize and line a new kitty litter box with food safe plastic liner and put the cake mixture into box.
  7. Sprinkle the other half of the cookie crumbs over the cake
  8. Put the unwrapped tootsie rolls in a microwave safe dish and heat until soft. Shape the tootsie rolls too look like cat poop.
  9. Randomly half bury 3 Tootsie poops in the cake and sprinkle 3/4 of the green cookie mixture over the top of the cake.
  10. Place 2 tootsie poops on top of the cake and sprinkle lightly with some of the green cookie crumbs. Hang one tootsie over the side of the litter box.
  11. Serve with the pooper scooper.

Let me just take a moment and be the geek that I am as a scream for joy about the fact that Voltron is entering my life once more! The 1980’s cartoon was something I loved to watch as a kid. The fact that five lion robots became an even bigger and better robot Titan was something that connected with my Sci-Fi side. The original show will always have a special place in my geeky heart.

It’s Easter! Time for the Easter Egg hunts, Easter Games and of course Easter Treats. Easter Bible Cookies

Ingredients

  • Fig Newtons
  • White Icing
  • Candy Crosses
  • Fruit by the Foot

Directions

  1. Carefully trim the very edge of a fig newton to expose the jelly center.
  2. Cut a piece of Fruit by the Foot into the shape of bookmark ends. Carefully poke the square edge into the jelly of the fig newton to create the illusion of bookmark ends.
  3. Pipe the white icing onto the cookie to resemble a bible.
  4. Use the icing to adhere a candy cross to the front of the cookie.

Whisker Haven Tales Coloring Page of Mr. Chow

Mr. Chow is a Critterzen from Whisker Haven. He runs the kibble shop and loves encouraging the Critterzens and Palace Pets to fill up on kibble. His appetite comes in one size only — large!

I haven’t seen him in any of the episodes yet, but he was featured on the Disney Whisker Haven Tales with the Palace Pets Facebook Page. This could mean he may be in a later episode.

Yummy Easter Bunny Pretzel Recipe

A few years back, I was searching the internet for some fun and yummy Easter Treats that I could serve to my family and friends that were arriving for an awesome Easter celebration. I wanted the snacks to be themed and cute. I came across this beauty on orientaltrading.com‘s Free and Fun site. Not only were they small and perfect bite sized treats, but they were delicious as well. Everyone loved them so much that they have now become a standard treat. I even like to place a small bunch in baggies and give them as Easter Gifts.

The Easter Bunny Pretzels are pretty easy to make. There is no baking involved and the only “cooking” (if you want to call it that) is the heating of the White Chocolate Almond Bark to dip the pretzels in. It can be a hot mess if one is not careful (experience talking here), but if you use tongs to dip the pretzels, you wont have to big of a problem. The kids in the family can also help to form the Easter Bunnies by placing the decorations on the Pretzels. Be sure to supervise because the Chocolate will still be warm if not hot.

Directions

  1. Melt the white chocolate almond bark according to the directions on the package.
  2. Dip each mini twist pretzel into the melted almond bark to coat. Place on waxed paper.
  3. Place two white Jordan almonds into the pretzel to form the ears
  4. Place the mini chocolate chips and pink confetti sprinkle onto the dipped pretzels to create the eyes and nose. Allow time for the almond bark to set and enjoy
