Celebrate Cheese Pizza Day With The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

Today is Nation Cheese Pizza Day! What does that mean? It means we get to celebrate the day with our very own cheese pizza shaped to look like our favorite Ninja Turtle inspired by Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem (affiliate link)! With just a few simple ingredients a dull normal pizza can go from sad to Cowabunga in no time.

NOTE: I have taken the original Character Cheese Pizza recipe (attached below) and changed it up to be more traditional yet still very fun.

The changes I made are as followed:

  • The original recipe called for eggplant to decorate Donnie and the eyebrows/mouths of each of the ninja turtles. I took eggplant out completely. While some may enjoy it on a pizza, I replaced it with mushroom slices. Traditional and yummy. I also replaced the eggplant mask with a purple cabbage leaf.
  • The original recipe calls for candy eyes. Candy on a pizza is weird. I replaced the candy eyes with sliced black olives.
  • Instead of using red bell peppers for the tongues, I used pepperoni.

Use the recipe below to cook the pizza using the changes I have made. Or click the image at the bottom of this post to get the original recipe and use eggplant

Happy Cheese Pizza Day!
