Time to celebrate the spookiest event of the year with the spookiest decorations one can find. Displaying skeletons, dragons, goblins, and more, this holiday has reached a pinnacle of decoration love. One of the most popular ways to decorate for Halloween is to carve a Jack-O-Lantern! Weather making your own or using a template, these lit pumpkins will share in the gore, fun, or fandoms that surround the season.
This year, one of the most popular shows of all time is Netflix’s K-Pop Demon Hunters. Within the movie are two very fun creatures, Sussie and Derpy. These two creatures have more popularity than Rumi, Mira, and Zoey with their weirdly odd but cute faces. So in honor of the animal companions from K-Pop Demon Hunters, I thought I would create two fun pumpkin carving templates!
Sussie template:

To make Sussie you will need:
- a carving pumpkin,
- pumpkin carving tools,
- template
- Place the template on the pumpkin. Using a tack, poke holes around the black parts, The tack should go through the paper and into the pumpkin to make a pattern on the pumpkin.
- Acting like you are playing connect the dots, start cutting out the small details. Cut out Sussie’s eyes and the spot between the legs.
- After the small details are removed, cut out the circle. This will make a large opening in the pumpkin but keeping Sussie solid.
- smooth the edges and he is done
Derpy template:

To make Derpy you will need:
- a carving pumpkin,
- pumpkin carving tools,
- template
- Place the template on the pumpkin. Using a tack, poke holes around the black parts, The tack should go through the paper and into the pumpkin to make a pattern on the pumpkin.
- Acting like you are playing connect the dots, start cutting out the small details. Cut out Derpy’s stripes, dots, eyes, and nose.
- Cut out Derpy’s face and ears.
- Cut out Derpy’s mouth. Be very careful around the teeth
- smooth the edges and he is done
TIP: Be sure to make the cuts wide enough to get light through so that the pattern is seeable.
