Open Season: Scared Silly is coming to Blu-Ray, DVD and Digital March 8th! In the forest beneath the full moon bathed by the glow of a firefly fire is a not so brave Grizzly bear and his rather odd and exuberant friend Elliot the deer. In this all new adventure, the wild deer, Elliot, wishes to go camping in the wild…Yeah let that sink in for a moment. Unfortunately, Boog is scared of everything, including shadows. To make this camping trip a reality Elliot must somehow make Boog brave. In the most genius plan, Elliot thinks he can scare the fear right out of Boog by having him confront his fears. Thus the adventure begins in finding the Wailing Wampus Werewolf!
Elliot, in his infinite wisdom, soon discovers that the Wailing Wampus Werewolf will be more difficult to track as he takes the audience on a poop-eating, airplane crashing, crazy adventure. Oh yeah, I did say poop-eating. my stomach still turns at the thought of such a disgusting idea. I suppose that is why the scene was placed in the movie. If you weren’t entertained by the movie by this point, you might as well be disgusted.

Of course, this whole movie is nothing but entertainment. With rather large deer ticks, paved animal roads, and a hunter who’s only desire is to get Open Season back open again, there are enough shenanigans to keep us well entertained in all the silly fun. Add a weenier dog that thinks he may be the Wailing Wampus Werewolf and laughter will be echoing through the house; It did in mine.
It is a huge bonus that all our favorite characters come back in this new Open Season movie. Mr. Weenie, Boog and Elliot are certainly unforgettable characters just as this movie is unforgettable. If you are looking for a laugh with eccentric characters that are both familiar and a joy to watch than this is a movie for you and your family.
