Mr. Peabody & Sherman Show Season 3 This Friday

The Mr. Peabody and Sherman Show is back and crazier than ever! After last season’s cliffhanger, Season 3 opens with Peabody and Sherman teaming up with alter-ego versions of themselves to defeat an evil cyborg version of Mrs. Hughes and fix the course of history! The zaniness continues when the Penthouse is invaded by neighbors, a slippery mouse, a radioactive meteor, a massive storm flood and a full-blown forest with woodland creatures. They also switch bodies, turn into hideous monsters, and discover a rival late-night talk show. Season 3 of The Mr. Peabody and Sherman Show is available on Netflix as of Friday October 21st.

Printable Slugterra Halloween Pumpkin Templates

This Halloween I wanted to make a very cute Slugterra Pumpkin of Burpy. However, to my surprise, I discovered that there are no Slugterra Pumpkin templates available…None…Nada…Zipola… Imagine my shock and horror. How could Slugterra be lacking in this department? These slugs are so cute that they should be displayed in a jack-o-lantern. With my search coming up empty, I realized that I would have to be the one to rectify this nonsense. I went to work straight away. I mean, Halloween is just around the corner and it is time to display our pumpkins.

First I made Burpy…of course. He is definitely my top favorite with his leadership skills, strength, and mischievous side. You can’t have anything Slugterra without this little fire slug. It is also perfect that he is a “fire” slug considering how one lights up a pumpkin. 😉

After Burpy I made Spooker the Frightgeist slug. With one hit, this little guy will make you afraid of everything, including your own shadow. I think he would be funny to have at an entrance to a haunted house. It sure would make everything a whole lot scarier.

The last pumpkin I made was Goon, the mortal enemy of Eli and Burpy. He is certainly one of the more scarier Ghoul slugs with his ability to take over a mind and bend it to his will. Goon’s evilness will go down in history for making Junji destroy his home and nearly duplicating his success with Eli.

Yummy Halloween Pumpkin Deviled Eggs Recipe

When getting ready for a party, some of the hardest things to come up with are delicious Halloween related food items. While the ever poplar Witches Brew drink is a definite must, the rest of my food can quickly become easy snacks from a bag. While that is not a bad thing, because who doesn’t love pretzels, it doesn’t really show off my creative side. Therefore, I needed a refresher and did a quick internet search for snack and food ideas. Talk about foodie overload. There is so much out there it was almost too much to sift through, however, I did find one perfect snack to serve at my next Halloween party, thanks to www.orientaltrading.com.

I personally would never have thought about turning the yellow yolk of an egg into the shape of a pumpkin, and find the recipe awesome. It is spicy, delish, and fully in the Halloween theme. What is even better is the recipe is free and easy to make, simply follow the recipe below. Click the print button to print or save the recipe to your computer!

Classic Halloween Pumpkin Deviled Eggs

  • Servings: 6
  • Difficulty: easy
  • Print

Ingredients

  • 6 eggs
  • 2 tbsp mayo
  • 2 tsp thai curry paste
  • ¼ tsp sriracha
  • 1 tsp spicy mustard
  • 1 tsp ketchup
  • ½ tsp paprika
  • Green onion/chives

Directions

  1. Bring eggs to boil. Cover and set aside for 15 minutes. Drain and place in fridge until chilled.
  2. Once chilled, peel eggs and slice each egg length-wise. Gently remove the yolks. Place yolks and all ingredients in a bowl or food processor and mash until smooth.
  3. Place the mixture into a Ziploc® plastic bag, making sure the bag is securely closed. Cut a small hole in one tip of the plastic bag. Fill the egg white evenly with the mixture creating a ball or mound.
  4. Use a toothpick to draw pumpkin line segments into the yolk mixture. Sprinkle with paprika.
  5. Cut the green onion or chives into small sections and place into the top of the yolk mixture to form the stem.

Disney Princess Palace Pet Gleam wanted to celebrate Halloween this year and wear a pumpkin suit similar to that worn by Pumpkin (the character not an actual pumpkin hahahaha). Her costume is a cute little orange pumpkin with green vines, a vine bow, and a pumpkin top hat. Her flower markings have also been transformed into little jack-o-lanterns.

Celebrate National Dessert Day with Boo Treats

After watching a few Halloween movies, I discovered that to break a spell, which could have been cast on my family, friends, or even neighborhood, I would have to say the original spell backwards. For example, if the spell was one word “Trap”, to break it I would have to say “Part”. Once I discovered this, I realized this may work in real life as well.

How? Let’s say that I am very unprepared for the Halloween season. Party Planning, invitations, candies, food, costumes, and all the other details are looming over my shoulders and I am a basket case filled to the brim with stress. It turns out that we can use what I learned in a few Halloween movie to change my stressed day into something more enjoyable. Why? Because “stressed” backwards is “Desserts”.

So in honor of National Dessert Day, I think all of us stressed people should utter our current spell backwards and claim dessert day as our own. Grab a sunday, a banana Split, a cookie, or even a small chocolate bar. Savor it…relax…and let the stress disappear. Cancel the negative on this National Dessert Day. Just don’t go too overboard because too much of a good thing can turn bad.

This National Dessert Day, I thought I would share one of the cutest Halloween Desserts I have ever seen, the Halloween Boo Treats found on www.orientaltrading.com.

Halloween Boo Treats

  • Servings: 8
  • Difficulty: easy
  • Print

Ingredients

  • ¾ cup boiling water
  • 1 3 oz. pkg. orange flavored gelatin
  • 2 cups ice cubes
  • 2/3 cup whipped topping divided
  • 16 miniature semi-sweet chocolate chips

Directions

  1. Add boiling water to gelatin mix in large bowl; stir until completely dissolved
  2. Add ice, stir until gelatin is thickened, remove any unmelted ice.
  3. Whisk in 1/3 cup whipped topping until well blended. Pour into eight shot glass size containers.
  4. Refrigerate until firm, approx. 30 min.
  5. Drop remaining whipped topping by spoonfuls onto desserts to resemble ghosts. Add chocolate chips for eyes.

    Printable Halloween Coloring Page of Ms. Featherbon from Whisker Haven

    I was going through the images featured on the Whisker Haven Facebook page, when I came across an adorable Halloween image of Ms. Featherbon in a pumpkin costume with a purple witch’s hat. Inspiration hit, and I had to change her into a coloring page.

    Ms. Featherbon is a hummingbird fairy, who is the magical gatekeeper of Whisker Haven! She helps keep the peace, inspire, and maintain a relaxing environment for all the princess palace pets and the Critterzen of Whisker Haven. Obviously she has a wonderful fun side dressing in a pumpkin and a witch’s hat.
