Princess Palace Pets Coloring Page of Birdadette

Of the three new Princess Palace Pets, I have created a Snowpaws Coloring page and a Stripes coloring page. Now it is time to finish off the list and share with you Birdadette.

Birdadette belongs to Princess Tiana. We don’t know much about her personality or where she comes from. I am not even sure what she loves to do or what her favorite activities are. For now, this elusive creature is a small mystery. (When I learn more I will Update this post).

While Birdadette’s personality eludes us at the moment, we do know what Birdadette looks like. This lovely pink bird has purple hair and purple tail feathers. She has Brown eyes and Pink Feather Tips. She wears a green bow and tiara with pink leaves to match the jewelry of Tiana. Check out the image above for a more detailed look at Birdadette.

LAIKA’S Kubo and the Two Strings New Posters

The Land Before Time: Journey of the Brave

Next week marks the new release of The Land Before Time: Journey of the Brave from Universal 1440 Entertainment coming to Digital HD and exclusively on DVD at Walmart February 2nd! How to make a Cake in the Shape of a Heart

Welcome the season of love. Time to bake everything into the shape of a heart such as heart-shaped cookies and heart-shaped cakes. The bakery departments in almost every store will be glittered in red, pink and white with hearts spewing from the ovens in a sweet explosion. The temptation to buy these treats can be almost to much to deny as the smell of fresh baked goods tickles your nose, but take a step back and imagine just how much better it will be to bake your own. Not only will that wonderful sweet smell bellow through your house, but each homemade baked good could make a perfect Valentine’s Day gift made from the heart (pun intended).

Cookies can be easy to do. Simply roll out some of your favorite cookie dough and use a heart-shaped cookie cutter to make a perfect Valentine’s Day cookie. Then bake it and Tada! The perfect Valentine’s Day treat. However, cakes are a little different, especially if you are like me and find that there isn’t a heart-shaped cake pan anywhere in your house. Oh I have a Darth Vader cake pan, an R2-D2 cake pan and even a Ninja Turtle cake pan, but a heart never made it into my collection. I suppose it just wasn’t geeky enough.

Now if I wanted to, I could decorate Darth Vader into a Valentine’s Day cake. Add the quote “Join Me” and it would be a love message for any geeky Valentine. However, we are here to learn how to make a heart-shaped cake without a heart-shaped cake pan. Thanks to my High School Home Economics Teacher and the fact that I paid attention in class several years ago, I will be able to share simple instructions on how to build a heart cake. Once you learn this trick you won’t ever have to buy a heart cake pan. I mean you can if you want here, but it isn’t necessary.

How to make a Cake in the Shape of a Heart

What you will need:

  • 1 – 8 inch round cake, cooled
  • 1 – 8 inch square cake cooled
  • Frosting
  • piping tools
  • decorations
Directions

  1. Place the square cake on a large cake tray
  2. Cut the round cake in half along the diameter
  3. Using a small amount of frosting to hold the pieces together, place the flat edge of one of the round cake halves along one of the edges of the square cake.
  4. Place the other half of the round cake on the corresponding side of the square cake to form a heart, flat edges together
  5. Frost the entire cake and blend the edges
  6. Decorate as desired using the piping tools and decorations

This past week the stars of Hotel Transylvania 2 made danced their way from coast to coast to celebrate the recent Blu-ray/DVD release – Drac, Mavis, Johnny, Frank and Murray delighted kids of all ages in New York, Los Angeles, Miami and Toronto. From Times Square to the Santa Monica Pier, you can see some of the special stops the characters made in this video!

Disney’s Sweet WALL-E Cookies Recipe

The little robot that captured the hearts of Disney Fans everywhere can be made into an adorable love-struck cookie. In the movie Wall-E, Wall-E falls for the new girl on the plant. Who knows what first kicked him in the bolts, it could have been her sleek shape, shiny exterior, or maybe her futuristic nature. All we know is Wall-E fell hard for the Eve probe.

Their love spread across the galaxy as Wall-E chased after his love. Not even an evil plot could keep him away from Eve. Disney celebrates the love between Eve and Wall-E with this unforgettable Sugar Cookie recipe of the lovable Wall-E eyes. Simply follow the instructions below to create this yummy recipe.

Sweet WALL-E Cookies

  • Difficulty: easy
  • Print

Ingredients

  • Wall-e Eye Template
  • Batch of chilled sugar cookie dough
  • Rolling pin
  • Flour
  • Wax paper
  • Kitchen knife
  • Baking sheet
  • Spatula
  • Wire cooling rack
  • White cookie icing
  • Butter knife
  • Chocolate Candy Melts
  • Chocolate M&M’s candies
  • Small microwavable bowl
  • Toothpick
  • Small round pretzels

Directions

  1. Heat the oven to the specified temperature for the cookie dough. Meanwhile, print and cut out the template pieces.
  2. Roll out the dough on a floured sheet of wax paper to ¼-inch thickness and then use the template and kitchen knife to cut out a bunch of WALL-E eyes (both left and right). Bake the cookies according to the recipe directions and then transfer them to the wire rack to cool completely.
  3. Working with one cookie eye at a time, frost the surface with white cookie icing, and gently press a candy melt in place for the iris. Next, use a blob of cookie icing to “glue” a chocolate M&M’s candy atop the candy melt.
  4. Melt a few chocolate Candy Melts in a microwavable bowl, heating them for 10- to 15-second intervals until they are soft enough to stir into a smooth consistency. Use the tip of a toothpick dipped in the melted chocolate to add three “rivets” to each eye.
  5. Use more of the melted chocolate to stick each completed pair of WALL-E eyes to the top of pretzel.

Free Star Wars TFA Printable Paper Doll of Rey

Star Wars: the Force Awakens (TFA) is now the number one grossing film in the United States, passing up Titanic and flying by what used to be the highest grossing film, Avatar. The fans have not kept quiet about the sheer awesomeness this film depicts as they celebrate the movies success and theorize about the future stories and characters. Who is Rey? What happened to Finn? Will Luke join the fight against the First Order? All these questions circulate the web and fan forums. unfortunately, it will be a while before any of these questions are answered. What are we fans to do?

Well, it is no surprise that fans fill their time cosplaying, drawing, or creating other crafts to commemorate the TFA movie as we wait for the next film. Even I have taken time to draw my second favorite droid, BB-8 (R2-D2 is still my favorite) and make him into a gif.

Out of the paper crafts I have seen inspired from TFA, at this moment in time, I think my favorite printable is the fun paper doll created by Paper Dolls by Cory. Cory stepped up to the challenge of immortalizing Rey and BB-8 as printable paper dolls. In his two-page paper doll Star Wars Edition, Daisy Ridley is portrayed as Rey accompanied by BB-8. The doll features the clothes she wore on Jakku and a special costume created by Cory. He states that he,

wanted to create something bold, beautiful, and elegant that echoed her main outfit and other costumes from Star Wars.

If you ask me the costume is beautiful and he really captured the Star Wars feel and elegance.

Electrifying Battles in Dragons Race to the Edge

In the brand new season of Dragons: Race to the Edge, premiering only on Netflix January 8th, we will get to see all new dragons and electrifying battles! Hiccup, Toothless and the Dragon Riders (Astrid, Tuffnut, Heather, Ruffnut, Fishlegs, and Snotlout) all return for epic adventures as they battle an all new band of ruthless Dragon Hunters and learn more about the Dragon Eye artifact.

Perhaps, what will be the coolest characteristic about the new season of Dragons: Race to the Edge will be the epic dragons we get to see. Along with new dragons, we will also get to see the return of some rather dangerous dragons such as the Skrill.

Princess Palace Pets Coloring Page of Stripes

With it being the new year, it is time for a brand new coloring page featuring on of the three new Disney Princess Palace Pets, Stripes the Zebra. Birdadette the Bird will be completed at a later date and Snowpaws the Snow Leopard has already been created and ready for download here.

Stripes the Zebra belongs to Princess Jasmine. Stripes met Princess Jasmine at a party at the Sultan’s Palace, and she invited him to stay! At Whisker Haven, he loves to pal around with all his new friends.

This lovely lavender Zebra sports purple stripes, an aquamarine tail and a purple and aquamarine mane. He has brown eyes and aquamarine hooves.
