Lava is a Disney short currently in theaters with “Inside Out.” It is inspired by the isolated beauty of tropical islands and the explosive allure of ocean volcanoes, and is a musical love story that takes place over millions of years. That may be the longest love story Disney has ever created and ironically, it’s a Disney short.
