On Aug 16, 2022 Paws of Fury: The Legend of Hank was released early in digital form from Paramount Home Entertainment! The hilariously fun film is an inspiring tale of a hound who dreams of being a hero. When Hank finds himself in a town full of cats terrorized by a ruthless villain that wants to destroy their village, Hank becomes a samurai and teams up with some skilled villagers to save the day. However, there is a well known fact that leads to a bit of trouble…cats hate dogs. Can these crazy animals learn to work together to make a difference? Paws of Fury the Legend of Hank will be released on Blu-Ray October 18, 2022 with several special features including:

I got the chance to review Paws of Fury The Legend of Hank and here is what I thought.

Get ready for the fart jokes in the new movie Paws of Fury: The Legend of Hank. When it comes to funny, the writers have decided to go with the classics and bring about a litter of fart jokes including the igniting of farts and mentioning the smell of farts. For the little boys in the room, this will be funny to watch, however, the amount of fart jokes will get old with time. Some may bring a slight chuckle, but after a while, eyes will roll and the jokes just get less funny over time. But for the fart fans in the room, this will be fun to watch a couple of times.

Beyond the fart jokes, Paws of Fury: The Legend of Hank is certainly a family friendly movie that is hilarious and fun for all. It is hard to go wrong when the writers decided to combine the interactions between two of the most popular animals on the planet, cats and dogs.

Paws of Fury follows Hank, a hound, in his journey to become a Samurai. He travels to a town full of cats that need help where he is assigned as the defender. Hank begins his training and starts working to save the villagers who dislike him because he is a dog. The saying, “Never judge a book by it’s cover” is Paws of Fury’s motto. It is certainly a moral missing in much of society today as many are judged by the way the look. This simplistic film takes popular animals and attempts to tell a story that will connect with an audience on a different level so that all the viewers can learn not to judge by race, sex, or species. It is an important moral for our time and one worth sharing.

With the fart jokes, popular animals, and an important moral comes a crazy cast that includes Michael Cera, Samuel L. Jackson, Ricky Gervais, Mel Brooks and more! Basically we have a huge cast in a fun movie. Adults ill love to hear their beloved actors voice specific characters and the kids will simply enjoy the show.

I give Paw of Fury: The Legend of Hank 4 stars. While it has a great moral, the fart jokes get a bit old. For the audience that this film is meant for, I would say it will be fun to watch.
