This Halloween I am creating 5 different coloring pages featuring Ghouled Slugs from slugterra. Today’s Slug is 5 of 5 featuring the Cryptogrif!
The Cryptogrif or “Zombus” is the ghouled version of the Hypnogrif slug. They have a pinkish belly and deep blue color body. Cryptogrif has sharp teeth and red spiral eyes but that is not the scariest thing about this slug, Cryptogrif can turn people into mindless zombies. While you will not become the type of zombie desiring human flesh and brains, being hit or mesmerized by one of these nasty slugs will make you fall victim to Mind Control.
Poor Pronto has fallen victim to this slug, becoming a mindless zombie, doing the bidding of Mr. Saturday. It was not a pretty site for Pronto or Eli, Trixie and Kord. However, even under mind control, Pronto still is his quirky self.

It’s that time of year again where kids go door to door shouting “Trick or Treat” and collecting candy from all the neighbors. Man I miss those days. It is just not Halloween without the thrill of collecting free stuff and bags full of candy. I suppose that is why we have kids, to still have the right to collect candy.
Or so I used to think. Thanks to a fairy, I may have changed my mind a bit in the whole “Trick or Treating is for kids” idea.
One year I had a woman dressed as a fairy come to my door and say Trick or Treat. She then proceeded to explain that her child was sick and that she was collecting candy for her little one to enjoy. Honestly, while I stood there looking at the fairy, a few thoughts hit me in the head:
Her poor Kid is missing out on Halloween
Wait..Does she really have a kid…
Could Trick or Treating actually be for adults and not just for kids? I mean, last I checked, this wasn’t a box of Trix cereal.
Could all adults claim to have a sick kid and collect free candy? (is that even morally right?)
Do we have to claim anything? Could we just Trick or Treat without the worry of being judged?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I have yet to get answers to my questions of trick or treating as an adult. Really, I am short enough that, if I wanted, I could put a mask on and walk up to houses and get free candy. No one would know. So far, however, I have left it to the kids. I am more into throwing a Halloween Bash with ghoulish treats and drinks. Although, I do feel a ping of regret that I no longer get the thrill of collecting free stuff.
With that being said, I figured there were others like me. And in an effort to give us a small “trick-or-treat thrill,” I have created your own Trick or Treating experience! Simply ring the doorbells by clicking the buttons and get a special surprise. But be warned, some may be tricks and not treats. Mwahahahahaha
Halloween is a time for spooky decorations, trick-or-treating, parties, and fun activities! Sometimes there is so much excitement and noise going on that everyone just needs that moment to calm down and breath, if that is even possible. I found that sitting the kids down to color, draw, or create some cute paper crafts really helps focus their brains on something more than just the sweets provided during the next 3 months.
Doing a search for “Halloween Activities” on google will yield massive amounts of examples and creative ideas, some requiring a ton of planning and others needing very little. Sometimes that search can be a bit overwhelming when you are looking for something simple. I should know, that search is exciting and overwhelming. If you are like me you look at some of the crafts and stare in disbelief thinking how am I supposed to have time for that? I suppose that is why I gravitate towards the “Print and Create” gems scattered throughout the net.

Murray is a comical, larger-than-life, Egyptian Mummy who is always looking to party, when he isn’t hitting on the female mummies. One of Dracula’s oldest friends, Murray visits Hotel Transylvania every chance he gets, especially when Dennis is born. Never missing a birthday party, Murray always brings, what he considers to be, the best gifts.
Although he is a party animal by nature, he is also filled with good advice and gives it out when needed. For Example, when Dracula thought it would be a good idea to toss Dennis of a rickety tower, Murray was pretty sure the whole thing was a bad idea and was not shy to state it.
Murray has powers…or used to have powers. In Hotel Transylvania 2, we find out that he can produce large sandstorms. Well we are told he can. We never really get to see his awesome power. We do get to see him fly into Drac’s hotel on a wave of sand in “Hotel Transylvania”.
Murray has green eyes and he is wrapped in old bandages (he is a mummy after-all). In the movie his eyes are often shifting about. I thought it would be fun to bring out the “Cubee Follow Me Eyes” (#cubeefollowmeeyes) and let Murray’s eyes shift. The “Cubee Follow Me Eyes” will do just as they say. As you move around the room, the eyes will follow you. Check out the gif below.
Of course, for those looking to avoid the possible creepy factor of eyes following you around the house or office, I have included the stationary eyes template as well.
Cut along the white on each tab using the x-acto knife
Cut along each red line using the x-acto knife
Fold along each inner solid black line and slide each tab into the slots you created with an x-acto knife to form a cube of the head, body, arms, and feet
Slide the arms through the red slots on either side of the body.
Slide the feet through the red slots at the base of the body.
Slide the head through the red lots of the now completed body.
To make “Cubee Follow Me Eyes” cubeecraft of Murray:
Print on cardstock.
Cut out each item along the outer black lines.
Cut along the white on each tab using the x-acto knife
Cut along each red line using the x-acto knife
Cut out the eye hole where indicated
Fold along each inner solid white line and slide each tab into the slots created with an x-acto knife to form a cube of the body, arms, and feet
Slide the arms through the red slots on either side of the body.
Slide the feet through the red slots at the base of the body
Put together the head but leave the top up like a lid.
Fold the insert along the black line with the eyes facing out.
Place the insert in the head. The bottom of the insert should be up against the corner of the cubeecraft. The tab on the end of the insert needs to slide through the back tab of the head so that the insert stays in place. Close the head.
Slide the now completed heady through the red lots of the body.
Murray is now complete. To download the template click the image below and save them to your computer.
I would not want to be a child of any of the Disney Villains, but if I had to choose one I would never ever want to have as a member of my family, it would have to be Cruella de Vil. That woman has no reason to kill dogs other than being cruel beyond all reason. She isn’t looking for power to take over a kingdom or rule the world, she isn’t looking for revenge for not being invited to a party, nor is she all about her looks, catching a prince and becoming an egotistical fairest-in-the-land bimbo. Cruella de Vil wants fur coats. She wants the skins of animals to drape from her shoulders in style and she will do what it takes to get what she wants, even if that means killing over 100 puppies to do it. *shiver* Yup, Cruella de Vil is the last on my list I would ever want for a mother.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Unfortunately for Carlos, he drew the not-so-winning lottery ticket. His mom is Cruella de Vil. Forced to be a slave in his own home and brain-washed to fear dogs, Carlos has lived much of his life terrified of one thing or another, including his mother. Luckily for him, he was transferred to a new school, made some new friends and learned that dogs are not actually vicious pack animals. In honor of his new found love for dogs, Carlos’ recipe features Chocolate Yogurt ‘Pups.’ (wait so he has gone from fearing them, to loving them, and now to eating them?…interesting) Anyway, these cute yogurt pops are styled to look like little Dalmatian pups (cute but creepy).
How to Make it
To make this recipe, you will need to melt chocolate. Below is our preferred and suggested method of melting chocolate
How to melt chocolate using the double broiler method
In a small or medium-sized pot, bring an inch of water to a simmer over low heat.
Set a heatproof bowl in the open mouth of the pot, making sure the water doesn’t touch the bottome of the bowl.
Place the chocolate in the bowl and stir occasionally with a plastic spatula.
When almost all the chocolate is melted, remove the bowl from the pot. Continue to stir the chocolate until it is smooth and completely melted
Directions
1 melt 1/2 cup chocolate candy wafers. Coat one end of each pretzel rod halfway up with chocolate and place on a wax-paper-lined tray. Place Tray in the refrigerator for 10 minutes in order for the chocolate to harden.
In a large bowl, combine yogurt, vanilla extract, honey and chocolate chips.
Scoop yogurt mixture into pop molds. Place in the freezer for 15 minutes.
Place the chocolate-coated end of each pretzel rod into the yogurt pops. Place in the freezer for 6 hours to freeze completely.
Place pop mold’s tips in warm water to remove yogurt pops from the mold
Place a pair of edible candy eyes on each yogurt pop so that each pop resembles a Dalmatian puppy

Discover the emotional roller coaster inside your head with Disney-Pixar’s brand new movie Inside Out Available now on Blu-ray, DVD, and Digital. When Riley moves away from her friends and home town to the city of San Francisco, the emotions in her head go a little crazy. It only gets worse when Joy and Sadness are accidentally sucked out of headquarters and get lost in Riley’s memories (Poetic when you think about it). Without Joy to run the controls, Riley is stuck with three emotions running her brain, Disgust, Anger and Fear.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The three emotions do the best they can, but without the balance of all five emotions, Riley is incomplete. Realizing Riley needs happiness again before all aspects of her personality crash into oblivion, they give Riley the idea to run away. Only, running away doesn’t have the intended affect and actually starts making Riley emotionless instead of happy. If Joy and Sadness can’t find their way back to headquarters, it could mean the end of Riley’s emotional stability and the end of her feelings.
This movie is probably one of the more symbolic movies Disney-Pixar has created. Not only is this an animated feature great for kids, but adults will also love this movie with all the metaphors and comedy. It is a must watch for the whole family.

jay is a thief with the idea that “there is no team in I.” His father, Jafar, has been sure to pound that into his head since birth. However, even with the brain-washing Jafar distributes, Jay still finds his life a little disturbing and wanting of something more.
When he is forced to leave the Isle of the lost and attend school in Auradon, Jay, at first, steals what he can and has a little too much energy to spare. Seeing this, the Fairy Godmother has Jay and Carlos join the sports team. The ‘teamwork’ concept is a little foreign, but with the help of a coach, Jay soon learns that there is more to life than me-me-me or I-I-I.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
With Jay now on the sports team, he needs a snack every now and then. Jay’s preferred snack are Seasoned fries. You don’t need a magic lamp to make these fries – a little salt, garlic powder, and Parmesan cheese transforms plain ol’ potatoes to tasty seasoned fries! Grab the free recipe below by clicking print and saving it as a PDF or download the recipe card!
Reminder
Only a grown-up should use the oven and do anything that involves cutting food with a knife or blade.
Ingredients
2 large russet potatoes, peeled and sliced into 3-inch long dices and 1/4 inch wide strips
1/2 cup canola oil (I use coconut oil)
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp garlic powder
3 tbsp. grated Parmesan cheese
Directions
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper
place the potato slices and oil all in a bowl and toss until each potato slice is lightly coated with oil
In a small bowl, combine the salt, garlic powder, and Parmesan Cheese and mix well. Sprinkle the mixture over the potatoes
Place seasoned potato slices on the baking sheet and bake for about 20 minutes, turning occasionally, until tender and golden brown
Remove from oven and let cool 5-10 minutes, Serve them plain or with your favorite dipping sauce
