On march 13, Cinderella will be released in theaters. While this is beyond awesome news, I can’t help but realize I may be slightly more excited for the Frozen Fever short, especially after they released the Frozen Fever Trailer!

With Anna’s birthday around the corner, Elsa wants the party to be perfect! but will it happen? With Elsa catching a cold (odd for a snow queen) will the party be every bit as magical as she wants it to be? Frozen Fever dives into birthday madness with Elsa as she reacts to her cold and how to handle the unexpected troubles that it causes.

The original cast of characters comes back, including Kristoff, Sven, Olaf, and Marshmallow!

It will be nice to see Kristoff and Sven’s Goofy faces back on the big screen!

Perhaps Marshmallow will have a bigger part in the story this time around!

And Olaf…well while he is still adorable, putting back an eaten piece of cake is just nasty.

I do have to say one of my favorite parts of the trailers is Elsa peeking over Anna’s bed. I half expected Elsa to say “You wanna build a snowman?” Just like Anna did as a young girl.

With all the characters coming back to the big screen and an all new song, this will be one of the most wonderful 7 minutes of our life.

What does it take for a pony to get their Cutie Mark? In My Little Pony Friendship Is Magic: Adventures Of The Cutie Mark Crusaders Sweetie Belle, Scootaloo and Apple Bloom find it will take a lot of hard work and determination. Calling themselves The Cutie Mark Crusaders, The three make it their mission to find ways and talents to earn their Cutie Marks.

While the story may revolve around these three miniature ponies and their friendship, We viewers also get to see some of our favorite characters like Twilight Sparkle, Rainbow Dash and Pinkie Pie. For example, when Sweetie Belle, Scootaloo and Apple Bloom find that weird activities do not produce the cutie marks they desire, they search out Rainbow Dash to find out how she earned her mark. Along the way they learn how Apple Dash, Flutter Shy, Rarity, Twilight Sparkle, and Pinkie Pie, all earned their Cutie marks thanks to Rainbow Dash and her sonic rainbow. The rainbow inspired each pony to be their true self, show kindness, believe in themselves, never give up, and be determined enough to prove that the impossible is possible. Thus proving that friendship is the key to everything, hence why it is called the Friendship is Magic series.

The Adventures of the Cutie Mark Crusaders also features inspiring music and moral lessons. Learning to be strong even though you may be small and discovering that dishonesty never works. are only two of the many lessons integrated into the story line. A Perfect combination of entertainment and learning makes watching this series a great hit among the younger generation.

Not only is this series for the kids, teens and adults also enjoy My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic. With the fun pop culture references and adorable characters, it calls to the geek in all of us. I was ecstatic when I discovered that Weird Al makes a debut as Cheese Sandwich in “Pinkie Pride” (included on this DVD). There is also an awesome easter egg in “The Cutie Pox”. Can you find the Big Lebowski ponies?

There is trouble in Enchancia! When Amber learns of the magical powers the amulet possesses, she is determined to have her own turn and call upon her favorite princess. Sofia refuses her request and tries to explain that she can’t take off the Amulet. Desperate to have her turn, Amber stages a sleep over and steals the Amulet while Sofia is asleep. But in so doing, she is cursed by the Amulet and brings forth the evil Princess Ivy. With the kingdom threatened by this evil princess, Amber must find a way to risk it all and save her family.

Sofia the First: The Curse of Princess Ivy takes viewers on a magical ride with talking dragons, colorless butterflies, and…there was something else…oh yes, Dragonflies that make you forget! Featuring all your favorite characters including Sofia, Amber, Clover and more. We are also introduced to new characters such as the singing dragon combustible choir: Smoke Wings and Fire, and Everburn the Elder Dragon.

A common theme throughout this entire adventure is that jealousy and selfishness can cause negative lasting effects to your friends and especially your family. With selfish intentions of having the power, Amber steals the Amulet. Once Sofia discovers the treachery, she is upset and looks as if she may never forgive Amber. When all seems lost and Sofia and Amber are trapped in a crevasse, Amber swallows her pride and apologizes for deceiving Sofia and for stealing the Amulet. While Sofia forgives Amber, we viewers learn that one good deed doesn’t fix a major problem caused by a selfish action. With the curse still upon Amber, she must find a way fix the situation as she faces the consequences of her actions.

Rapunzel pops in just when Sofia and Amber need help acting as their guide. She explains that since Amber caused Ivy’s release she must be willing to risk it all to save the kingdom and her family and break the curse. Much like real life, those who do the selfish deed are the only ones who can fix it. But even knowing what needs to be done, how to do it still evades Amber. That is, until her love for her sister saves the day as she risks everything to keep her safe.

This resounding theme is integrated into Sofia the First: The Curse of Princess Ivy with pure entertainment and music. Princess Ivy, The dragon combustible choir, and Rapunzel all have special Songs to help guide the story, explain the reasoning and draw the viewers into the story line. I was really impressed when I realized that Rapunzel was actually voiced by Mandy Moore! I found this movie to be a great vessel to teach a moral lesson that even some of the youngest watchers can learn. Selfishness and jealousy can only lead to negative consequence that must be fixed by the original transgressor.

Also included in the DVD package is a beautiful Black and White Butterfly Necklace that looks like the butterflies featured in the film. But this necklace has special powers. When touched by sunlight it transforms in color from black and white to purple!
