A Monster in Paris Free Printable Activities and Coloring Pages

Monster in Paris

A couple nights ago, when I had the rare moment to myself, I began scanning Netflix looking for something new to watch. I must have passed over the movie “A Monster in Paris” at least a dozen times over the last week. I had read the description, checked out the art and never really felt like it was worth a watch. Don’t get me wrong, it looked interesting but not enough for me to set a time to watch the film. However, that night, I was too tired to read several descriptions, so when “A monster in Paris” appeared on my screen again, I decided to watch it.

Let me just say this…If you haven’t seen the film yet, go watch it now. I should have watched it sooner. It is brilliantly made. The characters, the art, the story, all the aspects grabbed me and pulled me into the movie.

Story:
Paris,1910. Emile, a shy movie projectionist, and Raoul, a colorful inventor, find themselves embarked on the hunt for a monster terrorizing citizens. They join forces with Lucille, the big-hearted star of the Rare Bird cabaret, an eccentric scientist and his irascible monkey to save the monster, who turns out to be an oversized but harmless flea, from the city’s ruthlessly ambitious police chief.

Cubeecraft Papercraft of Vector from Despicable Me

Does he wear pajamas to warm up for sleeping? Or is he an evil, unpredictable genius? Can he be both? I have to agree with Agnes when I say he looks like he wears Pajamas. However, Vector thinks a lot of himself. He stated to Gru, “I go by Vector. It’s a mathematical term, represented by an arrow with both direction and magnitude. Vector! That’s me, because I commit crimes with both direction and magnitude. Oh yeah!”

On a side note, Vector makes us Math Geeks look bad. LOL

The Vector Cubeecraft features Vector in his “Pajamas”

CUBEECRAFT:

Printer
Card stock

April Fools Day Pranks, Printables, Crafts and Recipes

Pranks SKGaleana

One of the most lighthearted days of the year, and possibly the scariest, is April Fools Day. It is either welcomed with an air of mischief or dreaded. I know that my mom used to watch her back all day waiting for one of her kids to strike. However, with my family, if we participated in a prank, gag, or joke, we knew it was coming back 10 times worse. My mom made sure to let us know, if we were to concoct some evil genius plan or succeed in pulling off a daring prank, that she would not stop until her wrath fell down upon us like the fury of a wildfire. All in good sport of course. 😀

Some of the pranks that we played were a little evil. There have been, in my mischievous past, a few Saran wrapped toilets, shocking pens, Fake lotto tickets, stink bombs, Whistle in a tail pipe, Permanent marker art, Car safe White markers, fake poop, Fake spiders, Rooms filled with balloons, Blue screen of death (I found a snap shot and placed the image on my mom’s computer and made it a full screen), an annoying sound that no one can find, and so much more. I probably should limit the list as I don’t need to give anyone any crazy ideas…or do I?

I need point out that safety is key on this day. Don’t do anything that could damage a person, animals, property, etc. This day is meant to be fun not dangerous.

The following Pranks, Jokes and gags below are some of the fun ones that I found that are easy to create and set. Many of them are great to put into lunchboxes for the kids to find. The crazy lunch stickers are a must to label the lunch food.

Some of them require more time. The Kitty Litter Cake will take a while to complete, but so worth it. The faces on my parents were priceless as I picked up the scooper and took a bite of the litter. I thought my mom’s head was about to hit the floor as I savored the bite. Eventually, I talked her into a taste, we now serve Kitty Litter Cake at all our April Fools parties. 😀

About THE PIRATE FAIRY
From the world of “Peter Pan” comes “The Pirate Fairy,” a swashbuckling new adventure about Zarina (voice of Christina Hendricks), a smart and ambitious dust-keeper fairy who’s captivated by Blue Pixie Dust and its endless possibilities. When Zarina’s wild ideas get her into trouble, she flees Pixie Hollow and joins forces with the scheming pirates of Skull Rock, who make her captain of their ship. Disney’s Brave Free Printables, Activities and Coloring Pages

On June 22, 2012 Disney released Brave. Brave features a young lady named Merida who, despite her mothers wishes, is determined to defy many of the old traditions. Most days she spent learning what it was to be a princess, from how to hold yourself to the duties involved. However, she always longed for the day of freedom, where she could roam the forrest, practice archery, and explore the unknown. When she hears that all the princes of the land will fight for her hand in a game decided by her, Merida goes against the norm and fights for her own hand. Queen Elinor, Merida’s mother, doesn’t approve of her antics and demands that she adheres to the customs set forth by those before them to keep peace in their land. When Merida realizes that her mother may never listen to her, she sets out to change her mother’s mind. However, her quest leads to chaos and an accidental change of body instead of mind. She must then face peril and evil forces to find a cure to the curse she unleashed on her mother.

Merida has also been announced as an official Disney Princess and is featured on the Disney Princess Website. She joins Jasmine, Ariel, Repunzel, Tiana, Belle, Cinderella, Pocahontas, Aurora, Mulan, and Snow White. As an official princess, she has several fun perks on her site, including games and an awesome Story Book that can be read or listed to.

I love this movie. Merida is a strong and brave female character that shows girls you have the power to shape your own destiny. It also shows that your mom knows a lot more than you give her credit for and that she has your best interest at heart. It is a story of the bonds of family and the strength that they give you.

Below are several printables featuring Merida and her family. There are bookmarks, puzzles, games, activities, frames, door hangers, 3D crafts, and more. Disney’s Cinderella Prince Charming Cubeecraft Papercraft

What Disney Prince Promised to Marry the Girl That fit a certain glass slipper? Apparently in this Disney movie, no one wore the same size shoe. LOL

Did you guess Prince Charming from Cinderella? You would be right if you did.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Since I have been working on cubeecrafts of Disney Princesses, I have had several requests to create their prince counterparts. I figured since my first Disney Princess that I created was Cinderella, why not make the first prince, Prince Charming.
This cubeecraft features Prince Charming in his uniform he wore to the Ball where he met Cinderella. I had to really figure out what color to make his uniform. In the movie his uniform changes from a golden yellow to a light blue. But after watching the movie again, I determined that his uniform changes in the shadows. Therefore, I made his uniform golden yellow, which to me appears to be the official color.
CUBEECRAFT:
Materials needed:
Printer
Card stock
scissors
x-acto knife
To make:
  1. Cut out each item along the outer black lines.
  2. Cut along the white on each tab using the x-acto knife
  3. Cut along each red line using the x-acto knife
  4. Fold along each inner solid black line and slide each tab into the slots created with an x-acto knife to form a cube of the head, body, arms, and feet
  5. Slide the arms through the red slots on either side of the body.
  6. Slide the feet through the red slots at the base of the body.
  7. Slide the now completed body through the red lots of the head.
    He is now complete
To download this cubeecraft click the image below and save it to your computer. Then print and create!
