Whisker Haven Tales Coloring Page of Mr. Chow

Mr. Chow is a Critterzen from Whisker Haven. He runs the kibble shop and loves encouraging the Critterzens and Palace Pets to fill up on kibble. His appetite comes in one size only — large!

I haven’t seen him in any of the episodes yet, but he was featured on the Disney Whisker Haven Tales with the Palace Pets Facebook Page. This could mean he may be in a later episode.

Yummy Easter Bunny Pretzel Recipe

Easter Bunny Pretzel image

A few years back, I was searching the internet for some fun and yummy Easter Treats that I could serve to my family and friends that were arriving for an awesome Easter celebration. I wanted the snacks to be themed and cute. I came across this beauty on orientaltrading.com‘s Free and Fun site. Not only were they small and perfect bite sized treats, but they were delicious as well. Everyone loved them so much that they have now become a standard treat. I even like to place a small bunch in baggies and give them as Easter Gifts.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

The Easter Bunny Pretzels are pretty easy to make. There is no baking involved and the only “cooking” (if you want to call it that) is the heating of the White Chocolate Almond Bark to dip the pretzels in. It can be a hot mess if one is not careful (experience talking here), but if you use tongs to dip the pretzels, you wont have to big of a problem. The kids in the family can also help to form the Easter Bunnies by placing the decorations on the Pretzels. Be sure to supervise because the Chocolate will still be warm if not hot.

Grab the recipe below and check out more easter recipes and ideas at orientaltrading.com’s Free and Fun Site.

Disney Princess Eilonwy Printable Paper Doll from The Black Cauldron

The Black Cauldron DVD

Perhaps one of the more unrecognizable Disney Princesses, and certainly not in the line up as a official Disney Princess, Princess Eilonwy from The Black Cauldron is forgotten by many. That is, until Paper Dolls By Cory revived her in the most epic way! Now, everyone can put Princess Eilonwy back in the Disney Princess Line Up just by printing this free Paper Doll and placing her with the other Disney Princess Paper Dolls!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Joining Princess Eilonwy in the paper doll masterpiece are Hen Wen and Gurgi! So not only do we get to create Princess Eilonwy but she is joined by two other epic characters! I love Gurgi!

Paper Dolls by Cory posted this free Printable Princess Eilonwy paper doll on his facebook page stating,

I have wanted to make a paper doll of her {Princess Eilonwy} for years! I made a few attempts but none of them felt right. I decided to model this paper doll after the style of my original Princess dolls from many years ago! This paper doll was a bit of a challenge. Not only does Eilonwy only have one outfit but there are no other female characters for me to base what other kind of clothing she might have worn. So I really had to use my imagination. I tried to incorporate the medieval and Celtic motifs from the film into her new outfits. I am happy with the results, but I still might add a more “princessy” dress for her later. I hope you all will like this set!!!

Allergy Friendly: Zootopia Veggie & Hummus Snack

Nick Wilde Veggie-and-Hummus Snack

Disney Family is at it again with creative recipes featuring some of our favorite characters from our favorite movies. This time they have shared a wonderful Allergy Friendly Veggie-and-Hummus Snack in the shape of Nick Wilde from Zootopia!

Being a con may normally be the modus operandi for a certain crafty-albeit-charming fox, but not so with this appetizing healthy snack. Besides having plenty of kid appeal, it’s loaded with nutrients, too. The homemade hummus is a cinch to whip up, and you should have plenty left over to serve with additional red pepper slices (http://family.disney.com/).

Allergy Friendly: Nick Wilde Veggie-and-Hummus Snack

  • Servings: 1
  • Difficulty: easy
  • Print

Ingredients

  • Nick Wilde Veggie-and-Hummus Snack Template
  • 1 (15 ounce) can garbanzo (chickpeas) beans
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • Corn tortilla
  • Large red bell pepper
  • Large black olive
  • Clean craft knife
  • 1/2-inch round fondant cutter
  • 3/8-inch round pastry bag tip
  • Toothpick

Photo and recipe from Family.Disney.com
Directions

  1. Drain the garbanzo beans, but save the liquid in a small bowl.
  2. Combine the beans, olive oil, lemon juice, garlic powder, and salt in the bowl of a food processor. Blend the ingredients until smooth, adding some of the reserved liquid from the beans 1 tablespoon at a time to achieve the consistency you like. Transfer the hummus to a covered container and keep it in the refrigerator while you prepare the other parts of the snack.
  3. Print and cut out the template pieces. Use the head template and the craft knife to cut out a matching shape from a corn tortilla. Toast the tortilla head cutout in a small fry pan over medium-low heat just enough to crisp it without making it curl too much. Then set it aside to cool.
  4. Use the face template piece as a pattern for cutting out a matching shape (including the eyeholes) from a large piece of red bell pepper. Again, for the best results, use the craft knife to slice the pepper. And, don’t worry if the pepper is slightly curved instead of entirely flat; it will still look good.
  5. Next, cut out the red pepper ears. It’s easier if you first cut out the larger triangles as whole pieces, and then cut out the inner triangular openings. For each eyelid, use the round fondant cutter to cut out a red pepper circle and then slice the cutout in half to create a semicircle. Slice off a bit of the inner pepper flesh to make the eyelids about half as thick as the other pepper pieces (this will help them to lie flat on the face).
  6. Using the template pieces as a guide for size and shape, cut the pupils and the nose from the black olive. (Tip: A 3/8-inch round pastry bag tip works well for cutting out the pupils.) For the eyebrows, simply cut a couple of slightly curved slivers (about ½ to ¾ inch long) from the remaining portion of the olive.
  7. To assemble the snack, spread a generous spoonful of hummus on the crisped tortilla head. Place the pepper face on top of it, matching up the upper head and sides but allowing the lower edge of the hummus-topped tortilla to show below the jowls and nose. Set the ear outlines in place on the tortilla at the top of the head, lightly pressing them into the hummus to hole them in place.
  8. Lightly press the olive pupils into the hummus in the eyeholes, and set the eyebrows atop the pepper above the eyes (using the template as a reference for placement). Use the tip of a toothpick to add a tiny “glint” of hummus at the edge of each pupil. Finally, use a small dollop of hummus to stick the olive nose in place at the end of the snout, and the snack is ready to serve.

NOTE: This recipe is Allergy Friendly meaning it does not include ingredients that contain milk, eggs, fish, shellfish, tree nuts, peanuts, wheat, and soy. However, when shopping, it is important to read food labels to ensure that the specific brands you are purchasing do not contain any of your allergic triggers or traces of them.
