Free Princess Palace Pets Coloring Page of Nyle

Meet Nyle the monkey, one of the newest Princess Palace Pets. I have to admit, after watching Aladdin, I wondered when they would create a friend for Abu. A monkey had to be created, at least in my mind it was inevitable. Unlike Abu, Nyle is a little more unorthodox when it comes to color. Like most palace pets, Nyle sports colors that one may not find in natural settings. I am not sure where anyone can find a teal and greens monkey, but the colors add to the palace pet cuteness and they match Jasmine’s color scheme.

Learn more about Nyle below and discover how Jasmine found him. Also grab the free coloring page featuring Nyle the Monkey that I created. Kids and adults will love to color Nyle with their favorite colors and display their cute trouble making Monkey art.

A naughty Monkey with a big heart: That’s Nyle, Jasmine’s favorite rascal. He loves pranks, but when he feels loved, he can become the most loyal of friends. His favorite pastimes are hanging by his tail from the trees and looking at the bright colors of the spices and the market – so much fun.

Looks: Dynamic
Loves: Spices, pranks and hanging from trees

How Jasmine found Nyle:
Jasmine was buying spices with Aladdin when a little blue monkey jumped out of a vase and started blowing raspberries at Abu. The two monkeys started chasing each other, but Abu got tired and perched on Aladdin’s shoulder.

Nyle tried unsuccessfully to call him back with more raspberries, then climbed up a tree, looking sad. Jasmine realized that he behaved so naughtily because he felt alone and was looking for a friend, so she took him to the Palace. Now Abu and Nyle are great friends! They love playing funny pranks on the Sultan and then running away – luckily he likes them a lot!

Inside Out Joy Emotion Food Art

Photo from http://family.disney.com/recipe/joy-food-art

Photo from http://family.disney.com/recipe/joy-food-art

Help the little ones take the lead this back-to-school season with delicious and fun snacks. Bring a little “Joy” into the mix with fun food art featuring the leader of Riley’s emotions from Disney’s new movie, Inside Out. Joy may be tiny enough to fit inside Riley’s mind but she is a big part of her happiness and she can be a part of our happiness with this delicious recipe. Trust me, the tummies will thank you and the smiles will show.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

This recipe is found on family.disney.com. It takes a little prep work before it can be created, especially if the little ones are going to help put it together, but it is worth it. Just be sure you (the adult) do all the cutting, and that the crafting is supervised.

What You’ll Need:

    •The PDF template for the shape of Joy’s head
    • Paper
    • Parchment paper
    • Scissors
    • Toothpick
    • Small plastic sandwich bag
    • Kitchen knife
    • 1-1.5 tablespoons slivered almonds
    • Blue gel food coloring
    • Cantaloupe (a firm melon is preferable to one that is too ripe)
    • 2-3 teaspoons whipped low-fat cream cheese
    • 1 raisin

How To Make It:

  • 1. Print out the template on paper, and place the sheet atop a piece of parchment paper cut to the same size. Hold the printout and parchment paper together, and cut out the hair and face shapes, snipping through both layers of paper at once. (You will need the parchment shapes later to cut similar shapes from the melon.)
  • 2. Measure the almonds into a small plastic sandwich bag. Dip the end of a toothpick into the blue food coloring and then stir the coloring with 3-4 drops of water (you can do this right in a tablespoon). Add the diluted coloring to the bag of almonds. Gently massage the bag to tint the nuts as evenly as possible. Repeat this step if needed, but don’t tint the nuts too dark. Spread the almonds on a small plate and allow the dye to dry for a few minutes.
  • 3. Meanwhile, cut off the rounded surface from one side of the cantaloupe to expose a large flat surface, as shown. Then, cut a ½-inch thick slice from the melon.
  • 4. Place the parchment paper “hair” template atop the melon slice for a pattern and then use the tip of a sharp kitchen knife to cut out a matching piece from the cantaloupe. Use the “face” template in the same manner, additionally cutting out the eye openings. (Note: If there is not room enough on the original melon slice, you will need to cut a second ½-inch slice.) Finally, use the tip of the knife to score mouth and nose lines in the melon face, referring to the template for placement.
  • 5. Place the melon face on a serving plate and fill the eye openings with 1 teaspoon of whipped cream cheese (½ teaspoon each). For the irises, use the toothpick to stir a very small bit of blue food coloring into ½ teaspoon of cream cheese. Use the toothpick to spread the blue cream cheese into oval iris shapes, about ½-inch long, positioning it close to the inner edge. For each pupil, snip a tiny piece from the raisin and set it atop the iris. Finally, use the clean end of the toothpick to add a small round “glint” of white cream cheese to the edge of each pupil.
  • 6. Spread a thin layer of white cream cheese, about 1½ teaspoons, atop the melon hair shape. Then set the hair shape on the plate immediately above the face so that the two pieces fit together. Lightly press individual tinted almond slivers in place atop the cream cheese to complete your Joy treat.

Free Cubeecraft Paper Craft of Edith from Despicable Me

Edith is the middle child of the three girls Gru adopted. A little more unruly than Margo or Agnes, Edith finds her place in the world as a destructive but awesome tomboy. Edith is a child that should probably be watched like a hawk. She has been known to play with dangerous weapons, break bottles full of unknown liquids (which are probably deadly) and seems to have a desire to drink random liquids. She is quiet for the most part, but be aware, the quiet ones are crazy as Edith proves when she kicks Dr. Nefario in the shin.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
While she may be destructive, Edith is also a lovable sister, she will do anything for them. She also loves attending ballet with her sisters, which I might add, she rocks at.
This cubeecraft features Edith from Despicable Me. She is wearing her iconic pink warm hat and sweater, maroon skirt and white boots.
To Build the Cubeecraft:
Materials needed:
Printer
Card stock
scissors
x-acto knife
To make:
  1. Cut out each item along the outer black lines.
  2. Cut along the white on each tab using the x-acto knife
  3. Cut along each red line using the x-acto knife
  4. Fold along each inner solid black line and slide each tab into the slots you created with an x-acto knife to form a cube of the head, body, arms, and feet
  5. Slide the arms through the red slots on either side of the body.
  6. Slide the feet through the red slots at the base of the body.
  7. Slide the now completed body through the red lots of the head.
She is done. To download this cubeecraft click the links below and save them to your computer. Then print and create!
Free Disney Descendants Coloring Pages
Printable Descendants Coloring Pages
There is certainly no shortage of Disney Descendants printables. Several can be found on my blog: Descendants featuring printable bookmarks, invitations, recipes and more. But I found there to be a large shortage of coloring pages. I mean the logos alone are extremely cool. Mal has two dragons, Carlos has two bones, Jay has an awesome snake and Evie has a crown. Not to mention the most awesome image of, Long Live Evil. They totally need to be a coloring page. Which is where I come in.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Armed with a computer and the need for awesome Disney Descendants coloring pages, I set forth creating 3 coloring pages.
The first coloring page features the Descendants Logo along with the logo from all four Descendants and a little flame
The second coloring page features the apple, vine and the Big D, which I thinks stands for both Disney and Descendants. Kinda of a cool marketing tool when you think about it.
The third coloring page features Long Live Evil. It is my favorite image from Disney Descendants, featuring the silhouette of Maleficent herself.
Each of these coloring pages I created are free to download. Simply click on the image and save the PDF. Then all you have to do is print and color. It is as easy as that and so much fun. All the Descendants fans in the house will love these, kids and adults.
Miles From Tomorrowland: Let’s Rocket on DVD
Disney_Miles_From_Tomorrowland-_Let's_Rocket=Print=DVD=Beauty_Shot===Worldwide=7_5_Content
“Miles From Tomorrowland: Let’s Rocket” flew to DVD August 11th with 10 blastastic episodes featuring Merc, Miles and his family. This DVD shares the stories of flying through space with family and friends in some pretty gnarly adventures from surfing quantum waves to collecting space junk. His two cool parents and awesome geeky sister makes this family fun to watch and great to learn from.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I am going to be completely honest with everyone, Miles From Tomorrowland: Let’s Rocket Rocks! No I mean it! Like many children TV shows, we have the moral teachings of family, friends, and life. Such as: If you fall get back up and try again, practice makes us better, and honesty is the best policy even if it stops you from doing what you want. Not to mention what it means to be brave, work with others and being kind to your siblings. These messages are beautifully written into a great adventure series that doesn’t feel forced but flows naturally as the story unfolds.
Miles from Tomorrowland Blodger
Messages can be difficult to place in a story without the story sounding ridged or square. However, Miles from Tomorrowland makes it feel natural and interesting. For example, in Explorer Exchange, we see Miles trying to find something both he and Blodger (an alien blob) like to do. At first it is difficult. Blob can’t speed around or race and Miles can’t do anything Blob likes to do. They almost seem too different until Blodger sees Miles space jink collection. It turns out they both collect junk and love to go out finding it. Along with Miles, we learn that no matter how different we are, we can all get along and find something in common. This brilliant message is weaved into the story so that kids and adults can easily learn it’s importance.
Miles from Tomorrowland exoflex
I have to admit, I love the way these stories are written and that the story lines absolutely keep the attention of all the little viewers, but I also love the little nod to adult viewers as well. Parents will enjoy the little geek nods to other pop-culture films Like Star Wars and Doctor Who. If you watch and listen carefully you may just catch each of them. For example, in Rock n Roll, Miles brings out a rather large machine called the Exo-Flex from a very tiny shuttle. I may be stretching it a bit but while I was watching the scene, I couldn’t help but think, “It must be bigger on the inside.” Sometimes the geek just flows out of me. A little hint: when you watch “Hiccup in a Plan” keep an ear out for a famous Star Wars quote.
Miles from Tomorrowland Star Wars quote
It has been a long time since I have been completely entertained by a Disney Junior TV series. It is refreshing to see some new stories and adventures as Miles travels through space with his family and friends. Not to mention a few geeky pop-culture nods for the adults. This collection is a astrolutly great testament to the TV series and it is a must watch for ever young galactic space traveler. Grab your copy today at Amazon.com and begin the adventure! The DVD also comes with a great Blast Board light that is bright and works beautifully. It was going to sit on my key chain but another member of my family beat me to it. Apparently I am, “Too slow.”
    Brie Princess Palace Pet Coloring Page SKGaleana image1
    Brie is definitely a one-of-a-kind mouse: Not only is she a loyal friend, but she also knows everything about horses. Cinderella first met her in the Royal Stables, playing with her big friends. Brie has always lived there, and she loves taking care of the horses and keeping them company. The Princess thinks Brie is just amazing and is the reason the horses are so well and happy.
    Looks: Caring
    Loves: Horses, the royal stables and being helpful
    How Cinderella found Brie:
    It was a cold night, the stableman had just gone home, and Cinderella was worried about her horses, so she rushed to the Royal Stables to see if they were warm enough. When she reached them, she had a big surprise: A very tiny and gentle-looking mouse was already taking care of the horses!
    The mouse had offered them some carrots and was adjusting their blankets like a perfect horsewoman. Cinderella helped her finish the job, and thanked her with a big piece of cheese. Now Cinderella knows that she can count on Brie, and they always enjoy playing with the horses or going for a ruse together.
