Make Homemade Ice Cream Without a Machine!

Having allergies can make buying ice cream very difficult especially when a family member has an allergic reaction to eggs. After reading several ice cream containers at a local supermarket, I learned that several brands use eggs in their ingredients. I quickly figured out that I may actually have to make ice cream at home if any of us are to enjoy this cool sweet dessert. With limited space in my kitchen, buying an ice cream maker would have been a waste of space, especially since it would get used far less than any of my other appliances. That’s when my search began. Is it possible to make ice cream without the ice cream machine?

Short answer: YES IT IS!

In fact I even tried it out to see if it was as good as described. It was better!

Basically, you need two ingredients to make the ice cream.
~Heavy cream
~Sweetened condensed milk
The rest of the ingredients are what you want to add to flavor the ice cream to your liking. In the blog I found they made a Cinnamon Bun Ice Cream, and that is what I will share below (because it is so good). It tastes like a real cinnamon bun, I almost wanted to melt butter and have it for breakfast! 😀

What you will need:
2 Cups heavy Cream (I used whipped cream and it worked just fine)
1 (14 oz.) Sweetened Condensed Milk
3 tablespoons butter, melted
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Step 1:
Whip Heavy cream to stiff peaks (I used my kitchen aid

Step 2:
Place Sweetened Condensed Milk into a bowl and whisk in butter, vanilla, and cinnamon until well mixed.

Step 3:
Fold in condensed milk mixture into Heavy Cream

Step 4:
Freeze for 4-6 hours. Then serve and enjoy! NOM!

Once completed, I gave it to my poor “allergic to eggs” family member. She tasted the concoction carefully, and then, before I could blink, the delectable dessert was gone.

Aladdin is known as a street rat. He steals to survive and lives on the streets. However, he has a heart of gold when it comes to people and those he cares about. When he meets Jasmine, the princess, he wishes that he could date her, but being a street rat, he is forbidden to see her. Enter the Genie of the lamp. With 3 wishes, Aladdin embarks on a journey to earn the love and trust of the one he loves, save the kingdom, and hopefully set the genie free.

CUBEECRAFT:
Materials needed:
Printer
Card stock
scissors
Craft knife

To make:

Cut out each item along the outer black lines.
Cut along the white on each tab using the craft knife and along the white above his bangs
Cut along each red line using the craft knife, don’t forget the red lines on top of the head
Fold along each inner solid black line and slide each tab into the slots created with an x-acto knife to form a cube of the head, body, arms, and feet
Slide the arms through the red slots on either side of the body.
Slide the feet through the red slots at the base of the body.
Slide the now completed body through the red lots of the head.
Slide the completed Fez hat through the red lines on top of the head

New Coloring Page of a Thugglet from Slugterra!

I have completed another cute slug coloring page. This coloring page features a Thugglet!

A Thugglet slug is a rose red colored Uncommon Psychic Slug with small horns, a mohawk, and mask patterns over the eyes. They have illusionary abilities that only affect living things as seen in “The New Kid: Parts 1&2”. When they transform, horns grow, their body turns skinny and they grow large teeth. The only one seen belonged to Twist but was a Ghoul pretending to be a normal Slug. (Slugterra Wiki)

Disney has Announced Tinker Bell Legend of the Neverbeast for 2015

Disney has announced that in the spring of 2015 they will release an all new Tinker Bell movie called Legend of the Neverbeast (also referred to as Tinker Bell: Legend of the NeverBeast)! This movie will feature Fawn, the Animal Fairy, and her friendship with the NeverBeast.

Fun and talented animal fairy Fawn believes you can’t judge a book by its cover, or an animal by its fangs, so she befriends a huge and mysterious creature known as the NeverBeast.
While Tink and her best friends aren’t so sure about this scary addition to Pixie Hollow, the elite Scout Fairies set out to capture the monster before he destroys their home. Fawn must trust her heart and take a leap of faith if she hopes to rally the girls to save the NeverBeast http://disney.wikia.com

Free 4th of July Disney Recipes

I can almost smell the BBQ as July 4th gets closer and closer. makes my mouth water for all the delicious food that will be served at my house. Of course I have to prepare it first.

This year I am doing something different and actually having a Disney theme with my 4th of July preparations. Earlier I posted several printables featuring our favorite Disney Characters (click here to see them), now I think it is important to share a few recipes that will make it worth while :D.
The recipes I have posted below are some of my favorites. Add a recipe tag next to the items on the table to Display the name of each recipe.

These recipes are free to use and enjoy!

SKGaleana’s Mickey Mouse Cucumber Sandwiches
The Mickey Mouse Cucumber sandwich is my personal recipe. I think that just a touch of garlic makes the cream cheese mixture stand out. The sandwich can be made by cutting the bread into the mickey shapes than assembling the ingredients or assemble the sandwich and cut out the shapes. With the cookie cutter it is easier to assemble and then cut. 🙂
	Ingredients:	Directions
	1 loaf of sliced sourdough bread (or a bread of your choice) 2 cucumbers, peeled and sliced into disks 1 package of Cream cheese (8 oz), Softened 1/2 cup of homemade Mayo 1 tsp garlic 1 pinch salt 1 pinch pepper Mickey Ears Cookie cutter or Mickey template	1. Mix together Cream cheese, mayo, garlic, salt and pepper until well blended. 2. Place a layer of the cream cheese mixture on a slice of bread. 3. Place A layer of cucumbers on top. 4. Place a slice of bread on top of the cucumbers. 5. Using the cookie cutter or the template, cut out a few mickey mouse shapes Display and enjoy
SKGaleana’s Tarzan Skewers
These skewers require no cooking. Simply pick out your favorite fruits and stick them on a skewer. They make wonderful fresh snacks
	Ingredients:	Directions
	1 Pineapple 1 Cantaloupe 1 medium size Watermelon 1 bag of grapes 1 Honeydew Strawberries, with stem removed Any other fruits you would like to add or change Skewers	1. Slice and chop Pineapple, Cantaloupe, Watermelon and Honeydew into 1-2 inch cubes 2. Slide Each fruit onto the skewer one at a time Display and enjoy
Ariel’s Red-White-and-Blue Starfish Cookies

	Ingredients:	Directions
	Ariel’s Red-White-and-Blue Starfish Cookie Template Scissors Batch of chilled sugar cookie dough (homemade or store-bought) Rolling pin Flour Wax paper Baking sheets Cooling rack Kitchen knife Cookie icing (red and blue) White sugar pearls (found in the baking aisle of the grocery or craft stores) or similar-looking small white candies	1. Print the template and cut out the starfish shape. 2. Roll out the dough on a floured surface to 1/4-inch thickness. Use the template and a knife to cut out a bunch of starfish shapes from the cookie dough. Bake the cookie cutouts according to the recipe directions and let them cool. 3. Working with one starfish cookie at a time, frost the surface with red or blue icing. Then press a line of white sugar pearls or white candies into the icing forming a line in the center of each of the starfish arms. Let the icing set up before serving Display and enjoy
Elsa’s Frozen Icecream

	Ingredients:	Directions
	Ice cubes (enough to fill each gallon-size bag about half full) 1 cup half and half 1/2 cup salt (The bigger the granules, the better. Kosher or rock salt works best, but table salt is fine.) 2 tablespoons sugar 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract 1 pint-size ziplock bag 1 gallon-size ziplock bag Your favorite mixins such as chocolate chips, cereal pieces, or fresh fruit.	1. Combine the sugar, half and half, and vanilla extract in the pint-size bag and seal it tightly. 2. Place the salt and ice in the gallon-size bag, then place the sealed smaller bag inside as well. Seal the larger bag. Now shake the bags until the mixture hardens (about 5 minutes). Feel the small bag to determine when it’s done. 3. Take the smaller bag out of the larger one, add mix-ins, and eat the ice cream right out of the bag. Easy cleanup too! Display and enjoy

Slugterra Printables, Activities and Coloring Pages

Slugterra: Choose your ammo… Slug it out! Slugterra is an epic sci-fi comedy adventure set deep underground, where the ammo’s alive and only the quick survive! In this luminous, high-tech, underground world every cavern holds a new adventure, new battle and weird little slugs to be discovered. Eli Shane is determined to be the greatest slugslinging hero of them all. To do it, he’ll need to collect and train an army of little critters called slugs. When these magical creatures are fired at 100 MPH out of a high-powered blaster, they transform into powerful battle beasts! The adventure follows Eli and his team of friends as they explore the caverns, challenge rivals and each other to duels, upgrade their cool gear, and generally have a blast in this never-before imagined underground world. But there is a very real threat to Slugterra; Dr. Blakk is seeking to “ghoul” the slugs, transforming them into feral mindless weapons! No one has been able to stand up to Blakk’s powerful ghouls and army of henchmen…until now!
