Cubeecraft of Rothbart from The Swan Princess

And now…Presenting..The Swan Princess Villain…ROTHBART!
Actually the character may not deserve that sort of entrance. However, my cubeecraft turned out spectacular. Although I must admit, his facial expressions makes him seem like he had just seen a gigantic spider. I know my face would be in anger and terror if I came upon a rather large eight legged monstrosity.

About the cubee
This cubeecraft is a little more difficult than your average cubee.

  1. The hair around the face must be cut out with a xacto knife. But be careful, Do not cut farther than the white line. Doing so could separate the side of the cubee making the head hard to form.
  2. The chin and lower parts of the mustache must also be cut along with the top part of the eyebrows.
  3. This character introduces a new accessory to the cubeecraft world. His cape. This must be cut along the outer black line. The fold in half along the solid horizontal line. Fold the two side in toward the red side. Fold the top down toward the red side and connect the tabs. This cape then slides over the top of the body before you put the head on.

Cubeecraft of Bridget as Odette from The Swan Princess

Another very important character in The Swan Princess is Bridget. While she doesn’t appear to have the biggest role in the movie, she does help cause a little havoc when she turns into a near duplicate of Odette in a Black Dress with red trim on the top. Instead of Prince Derek giving his love to the real Odette, he is tricked with Bridget as the imposter.

Cubeecraft of Odette from The Swan Princess

I am paying respect to one of my favorite Princess movies, The Swan Princess. I have decided to create a few cubeecrafts featuring my favorite characters. I will start with Odette.

Although I never saw her as an ugly duckling, Ponce Derek did. But, inlike some other movies where beauty is everything, Prince Derek must learn that there is more to love than looks…and Odette is his teacher.

Cubeecraft Santa Hat

Christmas is coming and my cubeecrafts just didn’t look like they were in the spirit. That needed to change. So I created a Cubeecraft Santa hat.

This Hat will fit most of my cubeecrafts.
I say most cubeecrafts because some of them have crazy hair that will get in the way. For example Princess Tutu has difficulties with the Santa Hat.

Here you can see Walter strutting the Santa Hat, although he is far less than Jolly.

Remember this is a free printable to go with all the fun cubeecrafts you have been collecting and printing. Enjoy

Cubeecraft of Princess Tutu

When a duck becomes human to help find heart shard,you have an interesting story for a ballet…unless you have Anatidaephobia, which is the fear that somewhere, somehow, a duck is watching you. In that case, this show becomes a horror.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I actually enjoyed the show and thought I would create some cubeecrafts featuring the main characters.

To Build the Cubeecraft:
Materials needed:
Printer
Card stock
scissors
craft knife

Assembly instructions:

  1. Cut out each item along the outer solid black lines.
  2. Once each item has been cut, use an xacto knife to slice the white lines and red lines on each item.
  3. The black tabs have a white line that must be opened so that the corresponding tabs can slide in and lock in place.
  4. There are red lines on each side of the chest piece where the arms will slide in.
  5. There are also red lines where the body will slide into the head and the legs will slide into the body.

There is a white outline along the hair that needs to be cut. Be careful. If you cut more than just the white line the cubeecraft will not fold properly. When these white outlines are cut the hair will stick out once you fold the sides into a cube (see image for help).

The body portion extends further out to give the shape of a tutu. These tabs are smaller and more difficult to deal with but lock into place just as the cubee head does. Be very careful cutting open the holes for the tabs to slide into.

This cubeecraft takes a little more time to complete but is well worth the effort.

Cubeecraft of Fakir from the Anime Series Princess TuTu

Recently, in a moment of absolute boredom, I decided to watch an Anime Series known as Princess TuTu on Netflix. It was such a wonderful (sort of creepy) story. The music, art and story line fit perfectly together. Needless to say, I fell in love and decided some of the characters needed to be cubeecrafts that I could display. Fakir is the first one I completed.
