Free Printables and Downloads to Sofia The First The Floating Palace

Sofia the First is having its first ever primetime special called “Sofia the First: The Floating Palace.” It will premier on SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 24 at 7:00 p.m., ET/PT on the Disney Channel.

Sofia the First: The Floating Palace” takes Sofia and her family on an extraordinary journey to Merriway Cove, where Sofia meets a young mermaid named Oona. After helping Oona untangle her fin from a net, Sofia’s magical amulet transforms her into a mermaid too, allowing her to explore the underwater world with her new friend. During their adventure, Sofia learns that mermaids mistrust humans and are angry that her family’s floating palace is in their cove. When Oona is captured by a horrible sea monster, Sofia – with a little help from Princess Ariel – must find a way to save her and create harmony between their two worlds.

Disney Junior has prepared for this event by Posting several free printables and releasing a “Viewing Party Kit.” You can get these printables by clicking the images below. The “Party Viewing Kit” contains all of the printables below. I included the individual links to each download if you wanted to select certain features of the party kit instead of the entire kit.

Free Printables and downloads for Marvel’s Thor

With the god of thunder and lightning making another debut in Thor The Dark World, I thought it only fitting that I find printables for Thor and share them. Most of these printables are found on Spoonful but I found a few other paper crafts that are fun to create. On the official webiste you can also download a few awesome wallpapers for your computer or phone Marvel Thor the Dark World.

Cubeecraft of Olaf From Disney’s 53 Animated Film ‘Frozen’

From the moment I heard about Disney’s new movie Frozen, I was extremely excited. This film is inspired by Hans Christian Andersen’s fairy tale The Snow Queen. Of course Disney will take several liberties, making it their own story, but from what I have seen in their ads and trailers, it is sure to be a great film.

Story Summery:
“Walt Disney Animation Studios, the studio behind “Tangled” and “Wreck-It Ralph,” presents “Frozen,” a stunning big-screen comedy adventure. Fearless optimist Anna (voice of Kristen Bell) sets off on an epic journey—teaming up with rugged mountain man Kristoff (voice of Jonathan Groff) and his loyal reindeer Sven—to find her sister Elsa (voice of Idina Menzel), whose icy powers have trapped the kingdom of Arendelle in eternal winter. Encountering Everest-like conditions, mystical trolls and a hilarious snowman named Olaf, Anna and Kristoff battle the elements in a race to save the kingdom.

Olaf looks to be the Plucky Comic relief. A happy go Lucky little guy that gets created in a winter wonderland. According the the Character Summery on the Frozen official website he likes Warm Hugs, which may be a problem for such a cold frozen guy.

Character Summery:
He’s Olaf (voice of Josh Gad) and he likes warm hugs. Sprung from Elsa’s magical powers, Olaf is by far the friendliest snowman to walk the mountains above Arendelle. His innocence, outgoing personality and uncanny ability to disassemble himself at good and not-so-good times lead to some awkward, albeit laughable moments. He may also have the world’s most impossible dream, but what he doesn’t know won’t melt him—or will it? (Frozen)

After seeing the trailer of Olaf, I had to make him into a cubeecraft. Now turning a round snowman into a square is weird and strange but I think I succeeded.

His hair needs to be cut very carefully and then slid into the slot on the top of his head. The arms, unlike cubeecraft arms are the twigs/sticks. Cut along the red lines on either side of the cubeecraft and slide the arms in. Be sure that the arms and the hair stay connected at their tips so that they can fold in half and become double sided.

To Build the Cubeecraft:
Materials needed:
Printer
Card stock
scissors
x-acto knife

To make:

Cut out each item along the outer black lines.
Cut along the white on each tab using the x-acto knife including in either side of the face
Cut along each red line using the x-acto knife
Fold along each inner solid black line and slide each tab into the slots you created with an x-acto knife to form a cube of the head, body, arms, and feet
Slide the arms through the red slots on either side of the body.
Slide the feet through the red slots at the base of the body.
Slide the now completed body through the red lots of the head.

He is done. To download this cubeecraft click the links below and save them to your computer. Then print and create!

Free How to Train Your Dragon Printables, Downloads, and Crafts

Of all the Dragons featured on Dreamworks How to Train your Dragon, I have to say toothless is my favorite. He acts just like my puppy. 😀

My favorite scenes are when Hiccup and toothless began to learn their connection to each other and when they take their first major flight. So wonderful.
I will admit, I wish that I can take a flight on a dragon. 🙂
Don’t worry I am still grounded in reality LOL but a geek can dream :).

The next best thing to having my own toothless was having a paper craft of toothless sitting on my desk. That started the search for free printables.

Until now I have kept these printables all to myself, but recently there have been advertisements for “How to Train Your Dragon 2” and I have had several requests to post a blog of free printables. Of course I can’t say no to that. 😀

For those who don’t know the story of How to Train Your Dragon here is a little Movie Synopsis:
From the studio that brought you “Shrek,” “Madagascar” and “Kung Fu Panda” comes “How to Train Your Dragon”—an adventure comedy set in the mythical world of burly Vikings and wild fire-breathing dragons, based on the book by Cressida Cowell. The story centers around a Viking teenager named Hiccup (JAY BARUCHEL), who lives on the Island of Berk, where fighting dragons is a way of life. The teen’s rather progressive views and offbeat sense of humor don’t sit too well with his tribe or its chief…who just happens to be Hiccup’s father, Stoick the Vast (GERARD BUTLER). The image above is a link to a file of over 50 free printable for How To Train Your Dragon. These are the same files that used to be on the HP printable crafts page that is no longer published. To get this download you have to be a member of busyteacher.org. It is free and really easy to join. You can either choose to sign up with facebook or give it a username and password. Once you are a member you will download a RAR file. Don’t let that scare you. RAR files are easy to extract. You can go to http://b1.org/online. Click to upload the RAR file and select it from your computer. Allow the extractor to extract all the files. It will then pop up a new window. A list of jpgs and pdfs will be there. Free Achmed the Dead Terrorist Cubeecraft

Achtober is almost over and this creepy guy is sure to be sad to see it end, so I though he should go out with a bang…again bahaha.

Dunham has officially called the month of October Achtober, in honor of Achmed. And what better way to end such a crazy month than with an Achmed cubeecraft 😀 I have to admit this one was difficult. The fact that he has a skeletal structure really creates a problem when turning it into a cube. But I believe that I have finished this not-so-good-looking guy and honored his essence in a cubee.

Materials needed:
Printer
Card stock
scissors
x-acto knife

To make:
1. Cut out each item along the outer black lines.
2. Cut along the white on each tab using the x-acto knife
3. Cut along the two white lines on either side of the face, This is where the tabs for the hat will go through.
4. Cut along each red line using the x-acto knife
5. Fold along each inner solid white line and slide each tab into the slots created with an x-acto knife to form a cube of the body, arms, and feet
6. Slide the arms through the red slots on either side of the body.
7. Slide the feet through the red slots at the base of the body (he should look like he is sitting)
8. Slide the head onto the body

Free Hotel Transylvania Printables

With Halloween right around the corner, I thought the best printables to share were those from Hotel Transylvania. A movie that is full of laughs and hilarious scenarios. Adam Sandler really pulls off the Dracula feel. My favorite quote is, “I do not go blah blah blah” LOL makes me laugh every time.

The story is about Dracula (Adam Sandler) who tries to protect his daughter Mavis (Selena Gomez) from the evils of the human race and keep her from going to haweewee. When Mavis has a Zing with a wondering Human, Dracula tries everything to keep them separate. Eventually his actions lead to Mavis being dreamless. Will Dracula be able to repair the relationship between his daughter? Weel if you don’t know you should go watch the movie 😀

A Mummy Monster as a Teddy Bear Cubeecraft

He may not be very Egyptian or very old, but this Cubeecraft Teddy Bear Rocks the undead world in his very own Mummy Costume. This little guy can also be filled with treats for that perfect Halloween gift or add to the decor of the home. Or if you are like me you set this little cutie on your desk and start playing the song Monster Mash.

A Cuter Version of Frankenstein’s Monster as a Teddy Bear Cubeecraft

This Halloween you can become Frankenstein and create your own monster. However, this one is cute and almost cuddly. I wouldn’t try to reanimate him. He is after all made of paper and would disintegrate once struck by lightning.

Free Rio the Movie Printables

Rio is one of my favorite movies. I love watching the struggles of a bird conquering his fears and taking life by the wings, facing the winds of change, and soaring to new heights. Even my parrot enjoys watching this movie with me. I am not sure if it is all the pretty colors, the dancing birds, or just the weird fact that there are talking animals, but I catch Pretty Bird (yes that is his name) often dancing to some of the songs and whistling with excitement.

“In Rio de Janeiro, baby macaw, Blu, is captured by dealers and smuggled to the USA. While driving through Moose Lake, Minnesota, the truck that is transporting Blu accidentally drops Blu’s box on the road. A girl, Linda, finds the bird and raises him with love. Fifteen years later, Blu is a domesticated and intelligent bird that does not fly and lives a comfortable life with bookshop owner Linda. Out of the blue, clumsy Brazilian ornithologist, Tulio, visits Linda and explains that Blu is the last male of his species, and he has a female called Jewel in Rio de Janeiro. He invites Linda to bring Blu to Rio so that he and Jewel can save their species. Linda travels with Blu and Tulio to Rio de Janeiro and they leave Blu and Jewel in a large cage in the institute where Tulio works. While they are having dinner, smugglers break into the institute and steal Blu and Jewel to sell them. Linda and Tulio look everywhere for Blu, who is chained to Jewel and hidden in a slum.
