Disney’s Free Digital Download Prizes from 2008 Year of a Million Dreams Sweepstakes

Disney Downloads

Back in 2008, Disney started a campaign called “Year of a Million Dreams.” To announce and get the word out about their new statement and campaign, Disney started a sweepstakes. This Million Dream sweepstakes offered a winner a free pass to Disney parks and several other amazing prizes. To Enter the sweepstakes, any eligible applicant simply filled out a form and submitted it to Disney. Disney also offered the opportunity to increase the applicants chances of winning by allowing them to enter a form every day. By the end of the month of February, each person could have a total of 29 entries.

To give people the incentive to fill out the form and enter the sweepstakes, Disney offered a digital prize (digiprize) for each entry. Every day an applicant submitted a form, Disney gave them a digital download featuring the characters of their Disney/Pixar Films and TV shows.

These digiprizes are awesome little computer buddies that sit on your desktop. You can place a Snow-globe of Wall-E on your desktop, which is interactive. Simply click and hold the globe with your mouse and shake the globe to watch the snow fall. All the digiprizes are interactive in one way or another. The Disney bobble heads can be clicked on to make them bobble, The Calculators actually calculates, and the clocks keep time. Even goofy has a swinging sphere.

While, at the time, these were only available for those who entered the Sweepstakes, they have kept the links active for those who still want them. The list below is each download that was offered in 2008. I am not sure how long these links will remain active but until the delete them you are welcome to download them. Simply click PC or MAC and save the zip to your computer. Once you have extracted the files, double click on the digiprize to open it.

If the Digiprize doesn’t work or open:
1. If the Digiprize doesn’t open, right click on the icon and click ‘Properties’
2. Click the Compatibility Tab
3. Click the block next to ‘run this program in compatibility mode for’
4. Then select the operating system that you are running on your computer.
5. Click Apply
6. Click OK
The digiprize should open without a problem.
If it still doesn’t open, select another operating system until you find one that works. 😀

Mr Peabody and Sherman Printables SKGaleana

Who here remembers watching the classic cartoon Of Mr. Peabody’s travels through time with Sherman?

While I did not see Mr. Peabody on TV in the 50s and 60s (not born yet), I did watch reruns of them as a kid and loved the episodes. Which brings me to The March 7 release. How cool is it that they are making a movie of one of the greatest time travelers, Mr. Peabody and Sherman? Not counting the Doctor of course. I think this could be awesome if Dreamworks combines the classic attributes of the TV show with a modern twist.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

The Story:
Mr. Peabody, the most accomplished dog in the world, and his mischievous boy Sherman, use their time machine – The WABAC – to go on the most outrageous adventures known to man or dog. But when Sherman takes the WABAC out for a joyride to impress his friend Penny, they accidentally rip a hole in the universe, wreaking havoc on the most important events in world history. Before they forever alter the past, present and future, Mr. Peabody must come to their rescue. ultimately facing the most daunting challenge of any era: figuring out how to be a parent. Together, the time traveling trio will make their mark on history. (Mr. Peabody and Sherman Website

Of course, no film is complete without the awesome printables and activities to go with it. Below are several printables I found while on my search. You can click the image to download and print the freebies.

The Lego Movie Free Printables, Coloring Pages, Activities and Downloads

Lego Movie SKGaleana

Ever since I was little, I have always loved Legos. My parents used to buy me large buckets of legos (although, they had a few of their dread Lego land mines). When Legos started releasing Lego games, I was all over it. I have every Star Wars Lego game 😀 and each Star Wars Lego movie that they have released to DVD. I suppose it was only a matter of time before they created an actual movie of Legos fighting to defend their world from Glue.

Speaking of Glue, what cruel being would want to glue legos together!?!?!?! The whole idea is to break them apart and start over, or see how tall you can build something before it falls over into pieces, or be as creative as possible one moment and Stitch destroying a city the next. This evil genius is truly diabolical.

Story:
An ordinary guy named Emmet (Chris Pratt) is mistaken as being the Master Builder, the one who can save the universe. With the aid of an old mystic Vitruvius (Morgan Freeman), a tough young lady named Lucy (Elizabeth Banks), and Batman (Will Arnett), Emmet will fight to defeat the evil tyrant Lord Business (Will Ferrell) who is bent on destroying the universe by gluing it together.

These printables are free to save and print. Simply click the image, right clickon the pop up and save to your computer. Free Printables, Downloads, and Activities to Disney’s Animated Film Wall-E

Wall-E is certainly not a watch once and put aside movie. I think when it first came out I watched it every day for a month. Recently I pulled out the video and watched it again. At that moment I had the sudden realization that there has to be some awesome printables that I could share. I mean seriously, space, robots, True Love, there has to be something to post and share. And I was right.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Below are several printables I found intriguing while I completed my search. Not only did I find mass amounts of coloring pages but I also found bookmarks, frames, papercrafts and mores. There are two PDF packs exploding with activities for the kids and items for the parents to give to kids as rewards.

More About Wall-E :
After hundreds of lonely years of doing what he was built for, Wall-E (short for Waste Allocation Load Lifter Earth Class) discovers a new purpose in life (besides collecting knick-knacks) when he meets a sleek search robot named EVE. EVE comes to realize that Wall-E has inadvertently stumbled upon the key to the planet’s future, and races back to space to report her findings to the humans (who have been eagerly awaiting word that it is safe to return home). Meanwhile Wall-E chases EVE across the galaxy and sets into motion one of the most exciting and imaginative comedy adventures ever brought to the big screen.
Joining Wall-E on his fantastic journey across a universe of never-before-imagined visions f the future, is a hilarious cast of characters including a pet cockroach and a heroic team of malfunctioning misfit robots.

Unique Printable Valentine’s Day Cards of Unicorns and Dinosaurs

Picture it. Third grade on February 14th. Your palms sweaty, your eyes wide. Would you receive a Valentine? Shaking at your desk, your teacher walks in and announces today is Valentine’s day.
There is a smile on every students face as the teacher instructs everyone to enjoy the snacks and don’t forget to pass out the Valentines. You grab your sack of gifts and stare around the room. This is it, this is the moment you’ve been waiting for.

Each child, I am sure, has a different experience when it comes to the classroom Valentine’s Day Party. I remember one girl in my class who had the artistic gift. Her Valentine’s Day Mail Box nearly glowed with perfection as her Bedazzled box sparkled beneath the classroom lights. I couldn’t wait to get a close up view of the box and all it’s spender and neither could everyone else in the class. Her unique cards were also amazing as no one in the class had anything similar.

I received a half a dozen Star Wars Valentines, A few Loony toons, and several of whatever the hottest cartoon or movie was at the time. Many of them turning out to be identical because they were store bought at the same location or bought the same brand. Let’s face it. 30 students in a class that hang out together, there are bound to be similarities. But I always remembered the one that was unlike the rest.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Hand crafting 30 or more Valentine’s day cards can be a chore and take several hours complete, which you may not have time for. If this is the case do not fear. I found two Unique Valentine’s Day kits that are sure to be a hit at your child’s next Valentine’s Day party. Simply print, cut out, and fill out.

This will not be cheaper than going to the dollar store and picking up a box of cards, but it will have that extra touch of pizzazz‎ and be very different from the rest.

Kit #1

Unicorn Kit
Little dreamers will be enamored with this magical rainbow and unicorn themed Valentine set that includes 3D candy boxes, cut-apart cards, and a mailbox – everything she’ll need to have a fun-filled day!

After seeing those printables anyone else feel like screaming “IT’S SO FLUFFY”?

Kit #2

Elementary-schoolers will roar over these dinosaur-themed Valentines that are perfect for the card exchange at school! We especially love the matching 3D candy boxes and mailbox – just the thing to hold cards from their classmates.

Dino-riffic 3D Candy Box – Green
Dino-riffic 3D Candy Box – Red

These two kits come with everything you need to make the child’s valentines day memorable. Candy Boxes, if you plan on handing out more than cards, a mail box, to receive cards from all their classmates, and printable cards that the child can give out.

I found these on SnapFish and I am not sure how long they will have them posted, so get them while you can. They also have other valentine printables if you are planning a party or an event.
I am not paid to share this nor did they ask me to share. I found these printables and had an uncontrollable urge to blog about them 😀

Halloween Horror Nights The Caretaker Cubeecraft

Although it isn’t Halloween yet, I still receive some request for some Halloween characters. I guess for some Halloween is all year :D.
I don’t usually create creepy characters, but I guess there is a first and last time for everything Yhis request came from a dedicated fan on my facebook page.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The Caretaker, also known as Dr. Albert Caine, is the iconic creepy dude from Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios.
“The Caretaker was not the original icon for Halloween Horror Nights XII. Cindy, the daughter of mortuary owner Paul Bearer, was originally the icon of the event. In the event’s premise, every land would be ruled over by her “playthings”. After several child abductions in the area, the Cindy concept was abandoned and her father Paul Bearer morphed into Dr. Albert Caine, also known as The Caretaker.” (Wikipedia)
This cubeecraft is a little more difficult to make. He has a long coat and some longish hair. Instead of the standard locking tabs he had to be made with tabs that weave through the cubeecraft.
Materials needed:
Printer
Card stock
scissors
x-acto knife
How To make:
  1. Cut out each item along the outer black lines.
  2. Cut along the white on each tab using the x-acto knife
  3. Cut along each red line using the x-acto knife
  4. Cut along the chin using an x-acto knife. This will allow it to remain straight and not bend when you fold the cubeecraft. See the 3d image for assistance
  5. Fold along each inner solid black line and slide each tab into the slots created with an x-acto knife to form a cube of the head, body, arms, and feet
    For the bottom of the head the tabs slide through two openings Weave it out and then in to blend the tab with the cubeecraft hair.
    The same is done for the body. Weave the tabs out and then in through the openings.
  6. Slide the arms through the red slots on either side of the body.
  7. Slide the feet through the red slots at the base of the body.
  8. Slide the now completed body through the red lots of the head.
  9. The round rim of the hat goes through the edge openings on the top of the head. Fold the tabs down and slide them through the openings. The part of the rim with no tab goes in front along the edge of the face.
  10. The top of the hat slides through the top of the head.
He is done. To download this cubeecraft click the links below and save them to your computer. Then print and create!
Dreamworks Madly Madagascar takes place between Madagascar 2 and 3, while the main characters are still stuck in Africa. All the main actors come back to voice their characters: Alex (Ben Stiller), Marty (Chris Rock), Melman (David Schwimmer), and Gloria (Jada Pinkett Smith).
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This film depicts the gang spending Valentines day in Africa. King Julien, receives a sign that he is to become the king of love and begins selling spurts of his love potion, which actually is a bottle of perfume that fell from a cargo plane flying overhead. Even the penguins join in to help a Marty attract his true love. We also get to see Gloria and Melman in their first Valentines day together.
Finally, after waiting for what seemed like forever, Disney has released some fun Pirate Fairy printables. If you remember, back on Dec 4, 2013, I posted a blog containing one small printable featuring the Pirate Fairy bookmark. At the time I was willing to accept the little tease and shared it with the rest of you. But over the last month, my need (want 😀 ) for more Pirate Fairy printables has increased. I was beginning to think that they would never release fun printables and activities for the fans of the Tinker Bell movies. Thank goodness Disney set my fears to rest.
Below are awesome printables, downloads, activities and more all with the Pirate Fairy theme. Simply click each image to download and print the activity.
Below you will find duplicates. I had a few people request the printables as jpeg files so I added a few of those. What you find as PDFs are also found as jpegs. 😀
Cubeecraft of Ty Lee From Avatar: The Last Airbender Animated Series
Probably one of the most dangerous characters on Avatar: the Last Airbender, was Ty Lee. Using chi blocking she knew just where to hit to stop a benders ability to control the elements for a short time. It pretty much left the characters incapable of movement. Even non benders, like Sokka found out, are usually unable to defend against her attacks. You wouldn’t know she was so dangerous by talking to her. Her bubbly personality and her kind nature masked her abilities well. I suppose the statement, “It’s the nice ones you have to worry about” fits her perfectly.
Many times she had an airhead like nature and was constantly looking for attention from people around her. However, she often proved to be smarter than she appeared, especially when she turned on Azula to save Mai’s life.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
She is a member of the Fire Nation, but is not a fire bender. Instead she is a very acrobatic martial artist capable of defending her friends and herself. At the battle of Ba Sing Se, she was able to take out some of the best Earth Benders in seconds with her Chi Blocking abilities.
After being imprisoned with the Kyoshi Warriors, Ty Lee share a few Chi Blocking moves and later joined them, to the surprise of Sokka and the other Team Avatar Members.
